Form a Plan to Bond

3rd person POV

Today, Padme is going to form a plan to bond with Ahsoka, and maybe even get her to say something.

Padme walks over to Anakin's room and knocks on the door.

"Yea?" He answers groggily thinking its Ahsoka

"Now is that anyway to talk to your wife?" Padme teases

"Shhh." He puts a finger over her mouth after realizing what his wife just said

"What's the problem Ani? There are no bugs."

"Ahsoka might be awake, I don't want her to find out. She might report us to the Council."

"I trust her Ani, and what harm could she do?" The senator asks innocently

"Report us to the Council." Anakin repeats

"Even if she was awake, wouldn't she come out of her room?"

"I don't know, lately sh- Wait a minute." He starts

"What?"

"What's this about you trusting someone you barely know? She hasn't said a word to you, or any senator for that matter."

"Instincts, Anakin." The senator answers straightening out his robes

"Did you hear what she did yesterday?" He asks changing the subject

"Yes, I'm surprised. When she was first assigned to you, you described her as: energetic, upbeat, positive, and I quote 'will talk your ear off'; though she hasn't been like that at all since you two arrived." Padme pointed out

"I tried talking to her yesterday, but she barely spoke. All I got was a 'nothing master' " The knight complains

"I was thinking that the three of us could have a bonding day today." Suggests the senator brightly

"What do you mean by three? Why not just two?" Anakin asks this thinking his wife wants to spend time with him. Without making Ahsoka feel discluded or suspicious.

"Because I can't get near Ahsoka without you around, for some reason she seems afraid of me." Padme explains

Anakin's expression saddens at the fact that his wife chose his padawan over him.

"Now don't give me that look. You know more than anyone that trust is the most important quality in a relationship. Whether it's love or a friend."

As usual, Padme wins and Anakin has to go along with it.

"Alright, alright, I'll do it. There's just one more thing" Skywalker adds

"What would that be?" Asks the senator brightly

"How are we going to convince her to spend the day with us?" He asks

Padme gives a sly smile that's says: I have my ways

Ahsoka finally decides to leave her room. She has waited as long as she thought it would take until the senator left to take care of personal duties. Like the Jedi do.

Although, right when she exits the room, Anakin is right there waiting.

"What took so long? You've been awake for a while." Anakin stops her

Ahsoka, though a little shocked with the fact that Anakin has been standing outside her room all this time, she plainly says

"Nothing, Master."

Why didn't he just go in if he knew that I've been awake? Ahsoka thought

Ahsoka pushed the thought to the back of her mind and decides to follow Anakin, but pauses when they reach the main room, to find the senator sitting on the couch waiting for them.

"We've been on high alert. So today, we're going to spend the day with Senator Amidala for extra security." Anakin lies

Ahsoka is skeptic, but knows that she must follow her master's orders.

She gives a slight nod and they take their leave.
