Where oh where is Daddy?

Time skip, Radiance is now 7 years old! Hehe, enjoy :)

Radiance glanced at the clock and sighed impatiently. Daddy said he'd never be late and oh boy was he late!

Three minutes. I have been waiting for three minutes for him to come pick me up from the park. You know how long three minutes is? In three minutes I've already taken 90 breathes!

He's in big trouble now. Daddy had a very important job, he's a scientist. I know, A SCIENTIST!

When I grow up, I want to be as cool as Daddy. I twirled my long hair around my finger, It was a faded colour of brown but it wasn't blonde either.

It was past my butt, Daddy told me not to cut it because I have pretty hair.

My eyes sometimes changes from a dark blue to a light purple, but i musn't tell anyone or Daddy'll get mad at me and mean people will take me away.

I look younger then 13 but that's because I age really, really slowly and Daddy seems happy about that. I don't go to school like other kids my age because Daddy says I can be smarter then them if I'm home schooled.

Daddy knows best, yes he does! I giggled loudly and sat down on the curb, sighing.

It was starting to get late and the wind was really cold. I glanced at the park behind me and saw that most of the kids have gone home to their Daddies and Mommies.

A loud noise startled me and I looked across the street noticing it was a cat climbing a tree.

I always wanted a cat but Daddy says their vicious animals and I musn't touch one or they'll eat me up!

I better not go near it, I thought to myself. Daddy would be so proud of me for not going near that nasty animal!

If he ever gets here, I want my Daddy. I hugged myself and waited for a couple of more minutes before standing up.

Maybe I can walk home like a big girl. Hopefully I'll get home before it gets dark.. 

 Quickly looking down both streets, I took a left and started to hum in hopes of making time go by faster.

I wonder what Daddy will say when he opens the door and sees me. Maybe he'll buy me a pretty new dress or even better a book on flowers!

A single leaf blew in the wind down an ally, it was such a pretty leaf with blue and green colours that I had to go check it out.

I peeked down the alleyway, hmm.. it doesn't look like a very safe place. I don't think I should go down their.. I took a few steps backward when I saw a figure move in the shadows.

I bumped into something hard and turned around, falling on my butt.

"Ouchie! That hurt." I glanced up to see what I'd bumped into.

A tall figure stood, it was most definitely a male with that build but he kinda smelt funny. The figure offered a hand and I shook my head. 

Standing up on my on, I could finally see what the person looked like. He was a boy, maybe three or four years older then me and he was cute but since he was a boy, yucky!

He had shaggy brown hair and deep blue or yellow eyes with pale skin. "Are you okay, Missy?"

His voice shocked me and I frowned angrily, "My names not Missy! Yeah, I'm fine but it's your fault for not moving when I bumped into you."

The stranger chuckled and nodded, running a hand through his hair. "You're right, I apologize. My names Zaek, I'm 12... are you one of us?"

I rolled my eyes, what a silly boy. "I don't accept your apology. My names Radiance and I'm 7. One of what..?" I frowned, does he mean gender wise? He must be stupid.
