'Oi, Lucy!'
Gray knocked on the blonde's forehead and she groaned, turning over and waving at Gray's face as if she were attempting to swat a fly. Gray's eyes narrowed and he grabbed her shoulders, shaking her harder.
'Lucy! Wake up!' Gray shouted. 'Where's Juvia?'
'J-Ju-' Lucy yawned mid word and broke off, finally opening her eyes and blinking back sleep. 'Wha?'
Biting back the urge to snap at the stellar mage, Gray resorted to a huff and pulling Lucy into an upward sitting position on the couch to help her wake up. On the other seat, Erza snored away peacefully. Frankly, Gray was far too scared to even try waking up the redhead.
Lucy rubbed her eyes with her knuckles, 'Gray? How did you get in here?'
'Levy let me in,' he replied. 'Thats not important. Where's Juvia?'
'Juvia?' Lucy blinked sleepily. 'In bed. Right?'
Gray shook his head, 'No, she's not. The covers are pulled back and she's not there.'
Lucy paused, information sinking in. A few seconds later and she jolted upright like a puppeteer had pulled on her strings. Wide eyed, she stared at Gray, her gaze zipping from him, to the bed, and back again.
'Juvia!' she called. 'Oh no! Where'd she go?'
'You're asking me?' Gray growled. Lucy jumped slightly, evidently a little scared. 'You were supposed to take care of her, but instead you napped while she was kidnapped?'
'I-It's not my fault!' Lucy defended hesitantly. Her fingers played with the hem of her pyjamas, tugging at the material. She bit her lip. 'I just ... I guess I had a good dream and didn't wanna wake up.'
'I can tell,' Gray huffed lowly and turned from the blonde, dragging his hands through his hair, shuffling the black locks. 'What do we do now?'
Lucy pushed the blanket off her legs and swung them over the side of the couch, standing. She swept her eyes over the room, taking in every inch and detail.
'We need to find that letter,' she decided. 'This obviously has something to with it.'
Gray nodded, 'But she wouldn't tell us about it. She's probably destroyed it.'
'We have to try,' Lucy told him. She crossed to the requip mage's side and shook her with both hands. 'Oi! Erza! Wake up! Juvia's missing!'
Unlike the blonde, Erza was up and in charge in mere seconds. Her eyes flashed murderously as she threw back her covers and planted her hands on her hips, causing Lucy to step back into Juvia's coffee table.
'Gray,' Erza turned on him with shadowed eyes. 'Why didn't you wake me?'
'Hiek!' the ice mage looked to Lucy for support. 'E-er, Lucy?'
Lucy touched Erza's forearm and drew her attention, 'We don't have time for that. We have to find that letter that you gave Juvia. It must have something to do with what's happened to her.'
Erza closed her eyes and nodded in agreement, 'Ah. It was definitely bothering her.'
Lucy passed by Gray on the way to the door. She stopped with her hand resting lightly on the handle, glancing back over her shoulder at the pair.
