IN THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER

"GUYS , SHE ... SHE'S GOING INTO LABOUR ! AURÉLIEN SHE NEEDS YOU !" i say panting from running and adrenaline .

"okay , is she okay ?" he asks .

"yeah she is , but go reassure her !" i say as he leaves the room immediately .

i'm left in the room with eduardo, we were of course stressed but above all , tired.

"how do you think it's gonna go?" eduardo asked trying to lighten the mood.

"she's strong and brave , i'm telling you it will go well!" i say convinced .

MEANWHILE...

the midwife had already put shannon in the position to help her give birth to her son easily.

"so miss you're gonna take a deep and nice breath and you're gonna give me a big push!" the midwife instructs softly .

shannon follows the instructions while holding aurélien's hand who's caressing her head.

she pushes until she has to catch her breath.

"that's great , you're doing amazing ! don't ever stop breathing , you're a strong woman!" the midwife says cheering on shannon.

"whenever you're ready , give me the same push as earlier !" the midwife instructs her.

as she pushes she screams a bit since it's hurting her , aurélien never stops holding her hand while she's gripping it .

"you're the best shannon , you're doing amazingly well!" aurélien says standing next to her bed.

"miss ross , you're doing great, we can see his little head keep on being so good!" a nurse says .

"a few more pushes and we're there!" the midwife says cheeringly.

and a few pushes later , the body of the baby is sufficiently out for the midwife to deliver it completely.

"congratulations!" the midwife says putting the baby on Shannon's chest while she's submerged in tears.

"may 12th , 5:06 am" the nurse signals .

the room is filled with cries sound , and beeping sounds.

"what's the name of this little boy?" another nurse asks.

"his name is Elijah." aurélien replies .

"okay so Elijah Tchouameni , right?" the nurse asks to confirm.

"yes exactly!" aurélien confirms while she writes on her notepad.

"congratulations again mister!" she says going out of the room.

the nurses asked back for Elijah back so he could be washed .

they asked for aurélien to take off his shirt so Elijah could have a first skin contact with his dad .
