You should always welcome constructive criticism. Just keep an open mind to it if the criticizer is polite. When people leave you criticism, it means they're taking the time to try and help you make your story more enjoyable to for your readers and even help you improve. It really isn't anything to feel defensive about. The advice could get you many more votes which will ultimately result in more views. It is perfectly understandable to get upset if the reader is being rude. However, if someone is really trying to help you, I suggest following their advice rather than ignoring it and getting mad.
