Flare POV

I wake up with an arm around me. I scream and jump back off the bed and curl into the corner.

The guy jumps up and looks around, on guard, be for his eyes land on me and I can see concern. Nick. I relax slightly. Only slightly and being my knees to my chest and cry into my knees.

"Shhhh. Shhh. It's ok Flare. Shhhh. Calm down. No ones going to hurt you." He says and touches my arm. I flinch away from him and I see hurt in his eyes and instantly regret it.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Flare. Please trust me. I would never dream or think of hurting you." He says pleadingly.

I nod and crawl slightly closer. He doesn't make a move to move closer of further away so I go a bit closer. After a few minuets of living slightly and stopping I get virtually on his lap and hug him slightly.

He wraps his arms around me and rests his chin on the top of my head. He slowly pulls me onto his lap and breaths a sigh of relive when I don't move away.

"I'll never hurt you, Flare. I'll die protecting you." He whispers before I fall asleep in his arms.

Nick POV

Flare fell asleep a few hours ago and I haven't moved from my position leaning on the floor in case she wakes up.

I know she's going to be hard to get her to trust me. It's getting harder and harder to control my wolf and stop him from marking her.

She went through some tough shit. What, I don't know? I'm going to find out. Once the storms past and she's more confident around me and trusts me to tell me what happened.

She's only human which is going to mean having to have to tell her about me being a werewolf and her being alpha female.

There's a slight knock on the door and Flare stirs slightly.

"Come in." I say as quietly as possible. The door opens and Tyson walks in with 3 bowls of food. I nod and he sits on the edge of the bed facing me.

Flare shivers slightly and tries taking my heat by moving closer.

"Hand me the duvet." I point to the duvet on my bed and he passes it to me. I lean forward slightly and put it behind me and wrap it around us.

"Thanks. What did Angie cook up?" I ask and motion to the two bowls of soup.

"It would of been done sooner but the gas cooker wouldn't light with matches. Took 20 minuets to get it working. But she made a soup with a shit load of different meats and vegetables." Tyson says as he starts eating his.

"Ok. Keep the log burner going. Have we got enough logs to last the storm? Judging by the radio it's going to be twice as big as last year. And that lasted 2 weeks. It's going to be a long month. If it lasts that long." I say as he hands me my bowl of soup.

"Yeah. Every thinks it's going to last over a month. They just keep getting worse and worse. I think we need to move the pack down south." Tyson says.

"I don't know. I think we need to head down to Washington. It's not too far south but it's in the states. I just don't want anyone getting hurt. You know hitter activity has increased. It's safer here. I'd rather stay here and just stick up the basement every year with shit loads of canned food to keep us going through the storms." Tyson debates this idea. Even though I'm Alpha I do go to Tyson for input on my ideas.

"Good point. I recon we should try that next year. Get shelves put in and stock up through out the year." He nods and moves to sit down on the floor opposite me.
