Alone: the Night Rider

The Night Rider

A/n: This does take place in HTTYD2 so they are older.

"Hiccup! The Night Rider's back!" Astrid shouted as she ran up to him. "What! Where is she?" he asked. "She's off attacking a few of the fishing boats that are just coming in and stealing the fish!" Fishlegs said frantically.
Hiccup jumped onto Toothless and quickly flew towards smoke coming from the docks.

The Night Rider showed up on Berk about a year ago. No one knows who she is or where she came from, but only that she comes out at night and raids the fishing boats for food and other things that are useful.
No one knows what she looks like either since she where's a fluffy hood over her head and she also where's a black mask with green markings to hide her face.
You couldn't even see her eyes either because of the mask, but she could see you.
Her dragon, is a complete mystery though. It's fast, quiet, stealthy, no one has caught a glimpse of it, and it never misses.
The Night Rider only comes out at night and during the day she is never found.
There have been attempts to try and catch her, but she's too quick, especially on her dragon. They have sent search parties during the day and night to look for her, but came back with nothing. Not even a measly clue.

Hiccup arrived at the docks and saw a few of the fishing boats on fire and some vikings trying to put it out. That's when he caught a glimpse of the Night Rider gathering a few baskets of fish about ready to leave. "Hey! Stop!" he yelled at her. The Night Rider turned and faced him and then whistled for her dragon. Hiccup ran towards her with Toothless right behind him.
  She went to the end of the dock and then turned to face Hiccup as he ran towards her.     She gave him a two finger salute and then out nowhere her dragon came and picked her up along with the baskets of fish.
Hiccup groaned in frustration then jumped on Toothless and flew after her.
She was going extremely fast, just as fast as Toothless. Maybe even a little faster. Hiccup and Toothless were closing in on her when she dove into the thick fog, disappearing out of sight.
  Hiccup sat up in his saddle and looked around. Until bright green fire shot up at both off them from below. Toothless dodge it just barely, but it scrapped Hiccup's left arm.  Hiccup hissed from the burning pain he felt on his arm.  Then he dove down to where the fire came from and spotted the Night Rider.  They were closing in on her again when Hiccup stood up on Toothless's back and jumped across to the Night Rider's dragon knocking her off. 
  He wasn't going to let her get away that easily, not this time.  He had about enough of her.

  They both hit the ground hard and tumbled around.  Hiccup groaned from the impact and looked up to see the Night Rider get up and start to run until she was pinned up against a tree with...spikes?  Hiccup looked up and saw Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut, along with Toothless.  Astrid ran over to him and asked, "Are you alright Hiccup?"  "I'm fine lets just make sure she doesn't get away," Hiccup said getting up. 
  They all walked over to her, Snotlout and Fishlegs securing her.  "Let's just see who this Night Rider is, shall we?"  Hiccup said as he reached out to take off her mask.  She struggled against Snotlout and Fishlegs until green fire was shot at the ground blasting them all away. 
  Hiccup sat up and groaned until he laid eyes on the Night Rider's dragon.  His mouth dropped and his eyes went wide. He had never seen a dragon like it and he's pretty much seen them all. It was hard to make out what it looked like exactly, but it's emerald green eyes were bright and when it opened up its wings it almost looked like it was wearing a green nova.
  The Night Rider's dragon stood between Hiccup and the Night Rider protecting her.  It hissed and growled at him.  That was when Toothless came in between Hiccup and the Night Rider's dragon hissing and growling back.  Then the Night Rider jumped on her dragon and quickly used some type of smoke bomb and flew away into the fog.  When the smoke cleared she was gone...
