Chapter 6

Shawn's (POV)
It was 8:15. I got out of bed and went to take a shower. When I got out, I was in a towel about to get my clothes. Kylie was standing behind the door. "You scared me." I jumped. "Sorry. You just sing so good." Kylie blushed. I started to blush. Then Kylie went into the bathroom to get ready. I got dressed real fast and fixed my hair. I grabbed my phone and waited on Kylie. She walked out, grabbed her phone and walked out with me. "You smell good." I told her. "It's my perfume haha." She said. "Wait Shawn." She said. I looked at her. She held my chin. "You have toothpaste on your lip." She laughed. She took her thumb and rubbed it off. I smiled at her. I'm going to tell her today. I have to. We were late to sound check. "Hey come on guys we've got go practice. Your going to preform in front of thousands of people tonight." One told us. "Here Kylie this is your new single. We need to to come record it so we can put it on iTunes and so you can tweet about it." Another told Kylie. They took Kylie off to a recording studio. "Ok Shawn so-"

Kylie's (POV)
I recorded my new single and I really like it. I tweeted about it and told everyone to go buy it like they told me too. They also told me I've got to memorize it by tonight so I can use that to open up with. So I've been sitting in the studio singing it over and over to try to get it right.

"Ok Kylie come on." Someone told me. I got up on the stage and I saw my manger, Shawn, and all those important people. "From the top." The guy said. The music started. I sang the first line but then my mind went blank. Everyone stared at me and I felt so overwhelmed.  "Are you kidding me?! Kylie I thought you would be ready for this! Why can't you do anything right! Your not preforming tonight. Your done." One yelled. Shawn looked at me and could tell I was about to burst. I felt the tears coming and ran off stage. "Kylie wait!" Shawn yelled chasing after me. I ignored him and I locked myself backstage in a closet and cried. "Kylie open up." Shawn said knocking. I ignored him again. "Please." He said. I opened the door and Shawn came in and closed it. He scooped me up onto his lap and I cried into his neck. "Shh. Kylie. It's ok. Shh. I know." He comforted me rubbing my back. "I-I'm not g-good enough for this S-Shawn." I said choking on my tears. "Yes you are. Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't good enough." He told me. He sat me up and wiped my tears away with his thumb. He calmed me down. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my head. Then we heard banging on the door that made me jump. "Open up! We don't have time for this! Shawn we need you out here practicing!" The manager said. Shawn stood up and unlocked the door. We walked out and Shawn went to practice. I didn't want them to see me, so I stayed backstage. After Shawn got done, I heard the manager talking to Shawn. "If Kylie can't get her act together, we're going to have to kick her off this tour. And you know that." He said. "I know. But you don't have to be so tough on her." Shawn said. "Yes I do. She needs it. She's not preforming tonight." He said. "Why? Are fans are expecting to see her" Shawn said. "She's not preforming material. She's YouTube material. She needs time to mature in her career." He said. "I don't even want her going. I want her to stay in that hotel practicing." He said. "Wow." Shawn said walking off shaking his head.
I had to bite my lip so I wouldn't cry again. "You heard?" He asked. I nodded biting my lip even harder. He definitely could tell. "Come on." Shawn said. We went back to the hotel. I got on the bed and went under the covers. Shawn laid beside me and cuddled me in his arms. We stayed in the hotel for an hour and then heard a knock. "Ok I've got to go. I'll be back soon. I'm sorry. Just practice a little bit." Shawn said walking out the door. I looked out the window and saw them drive off to the venue. I didn't want to practice. I wanted Shawn. I guess he's the only one that believes in me.
