For the music, unfortunately I have noticed that when you scroll down to read the chapter, the music just stops so
So for richer experience, I would suggest you guys open this music video on another tab or you can use YouTube app and Wattpad app at the same time as split screen.

Because from now on I will add music to each chapter to make it more immersive for you guys.
I will also add music to previous chapters as well in future.

(Y/N's POV)

When I opened the door, Karma was standing there, smirking.

That smirk.

That stupid, lazy smirk that made my stomach butterflies move around in ways it was unhealthy.

"I forgot something," he said smoothly, tucking his hands into his pockets. "You"

My heart stuttered. Oh god. Even after everything that happened earlier, why did he still make me feel this way?"

Wait....could it be? Did he like me too?

A rush of heat spread across my face. I barely had a second to react-to throw back some kind of snarky remark to cover up my embarrassment-when I noticed something behind him.

A shadow.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. My breath hitched.

The moment stretched, just long enough for dread to coil around my ribs. My throat tightened, my mind struggling to process what my eyes were seeing-

Before I could speak-before I could even *move*-a knife plunged into his chest.

The sound it made-*a wet, sickening squelch*-rooted me to the spot.

My voice died in my throat.

Karma's eyes widened, his mouth opening slightly, a broken sound escaping his throat. His body jerked as the blade twisted, his breath coming out in a choked, ragged wheeze.

Then came the blood.

It bubbled up between his lips, dark and thick, spilling down his chin as his knees buckled. I reached out, but he was already falling-hitting the ground with a dull, lifeless thud.

I choked on air, my body frozen. No, no, no, no-

My lungs burned. I was trying to scream.

No sound came out.

A cold press of metal touched my throat.

The sting came next.

A sharp, tearing sensation, skin splitting open-

I jolted awake, gasping, my body jerking upright so fast that the chair beneath me scraped against the floor. My breathing was ragged, my chest rising and falling in short, frantic bursts

For a second, I couldn't breathe. My heart slammed against my ribs as my vision swam.

My hands shot up to my neck. It was sore. Itchy.

I was still here.
Living room. I was still in the living room chair.
I was still breathing.

But the image of Karma-the knife, the blood, the way his body *jerked*-was burned into my skull. My fingers trembled as I pressed them against my skin, my throat tight, dry, as if something had really been there.

I swallowed hard, my throat dry and raw. But before I could collect my thoughts, something shifted in my peripheral vision.

Someone was standing over me.
