Losing him was blue, like I'd never known
Missing him was dark gray, all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know
Somebody you never met
But loving him was red

Seungmin curled up beneath his blanket, his body aching with exhaustion. The fever had settled deep into his bones, leaving him shivering despite the warmth of his bed. His head throbbed, and his throat burned every time he swallowed.

But none of that compared to the ache in his chest.

Minho still hadn't reached out.

Seungmin had spent hours waiting, his phone gripped tightly in his hands, the screen lighting up with message after message from Jeongin, Hyunjin, and even Felix. But not a single one from him.

He had told himself that Minho was probably busy. Maybe he was in class. Maybe he was just waiting for the right time to message. Maybe—maybe—

Maybe he wasn't coming back at all.

The thought made his breath hitch.

It had been an entire day. Not even a single text. Not even a missed call.

Seungmin clenched his eyes shut, willing himself to stay calm. He was just overthinking, right? Minho wouldn't just... disappear on him.

But then he remembered—

The last time they saw each other, he had been so pathetic. Freaking out like that over a minor car crash.

He had barely been able to stand on his own. He had cried, had clung to Minho like a pathetic, helpless child.

Minho had seen him at his absolute lowest.

And now he was gone.

Seungmin swallowed around the lump in his throat, but it only made his chest feel tighter.

Of course Minho hadn't reached out.

Who would want to stay with someone so weak?

Maybe Minho had only stuck around because he thought Seungmin had something to offer. But now? Now that Minho had seen just how fragile, how utterly broken he was—

He must've realized that Seungmin wasn't worth it after all.

Tears welled in his eyes, spilling over before he could stop them. He gritted his teeth, curling further into himself, pressing his face into his pillow to muffle the sound of his ragged breathing.

He missed Minho.

He missed the warmth of his presence, the quiet comfort of knowing that Minho was there. He missed Minho's gentle teasing, the way his voice softened when he caringly spoke to him, the way he always knew when Seungmin needed him—

But this time, he hadn't come.

This time, Minho had left him to suffer, just like his parents.

And it was his fault.

A broken sob tore from his throat, and he clamped a hand over his mouth, his whole body shaking with the force of it.

But even through the haze of despair, a desperate thought crossed his mind.

Maybe Minho was waiting for Seungmin to reach out first.

Maybe it wasn't too late.

With trembling fingers, Seungmin reached for his phone, barely able to see the screen through his tears. He clicked on their chat, his heart pounding.
