Bertholt x Reader

Your mouth hung in surprise as you heard the news.

"W-what are you talking about" you stuttered upon hearing the shocking news that Eren just gave you.

"They are taking him into custody, he is going to be executed tomorrow" Eren said.

You stood there confused, shocked and heartbroken your eyes filling with tears hearing that your wonderful, adorable boyfriend Bertholt will be gone tomorrow and there was absolutely nothing you could do about it.

"W-what d-did he do so bad that he wound up like this" you asked Eren as traitor tears started falling down your face.

Eren looked at the floor clenched his fist and his body started shaking in rage, he looked at your face and said the 5 words that you would never thought you would hear.

"Bertholt is the colossal titan"

The blood ran cold in veins and your knees suddenly back came weak you looked up at Eren and spoke to him trying to keep your voice from wavering

"You're joking right, please tell me this is not true.."

You waited in silence as Eren looked at you with sympathy

"I'm sorry you had to find out this way (F/N)" those were his last words as he walked away from you.

You begged and pleaded to see Bertholt until they finally let you through. One of your superiors escorted you walked and walk in a poorly lit Stoney hall until you finally saw your boyfriend sitting in the corner of an old dingy cell.

"You have 5 minutes cadet" your superior said as he left to give you to some privacy.

Bertholt saw you and muttered "(F/N)..." and ran up to the bars in his cell "(F/N)! I am so sorry that I couldn-"

"Is it true" you cut him off your voice was so cold that it sent shivers down his spine.

"Is what true" he said cocking his eyebrow

"DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME BERTHOLT YOU KNOW DAM WELL WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE THE COLOSSAL!!" you completely loss your cool and started to yell at him

"I'm sorry (F/N), I wanted to tell you b-but you were better off not knowing anything at all" his eyes were filled with sadness, regret and guilty but you didn't give in you kept icy exterior up and said "it's over Bertholt, see you on execution day" and you walked away leaving a teary eyed Bertholt completely heartbroken he screamed you name begging you to come back but you kept walking not looking back no matter how loud he yelled you kept moving until you were out of sight

It was the day of Bertholt execution, you were sitting in a huge court room as you saw him chained to a metal pole in the middle of the room. The judge spoke "any last wishes or words"

"Yes... I would like Cadet (F/N) (L/N) to execute me."

"Okay, Cadet (F/N) (L/N) will you please step forward" the judge called you out

You were handed a sword and walked up to Bertholt and said your final words

"I was fine before you, and I will be fine after you." You spoke as you raised your blade up.

"I will always love you now and forever" he whispered right before you  decapitated him.
