Alex sat waiting for what seemed like hours. She has never been so anxious before.. Well she has, but not in a good way. When she knew Joey was gonna hit her, she would get anxious. " Do it already.. Let's get this over with.." Those were the main thoughts that ran through her head. Waiting for Rhett was completely different though.. She wasn't scared, she was more excited. Rhett was so sweet and something made her trust him easily. Maybe it was because he was Dave's son, or Maybe because he saved her. It also could've been His warm smile and promising eyes. Who knows. Who really cares? Alex just trusted him, she didn't need a reason Why. Alex was slumped in her seat by the time she heard the back door open. She was so short, that her feet barely touched the ground. She didn't mind though. She always loved swinging her feet like a little girl. Alex was on her knees peaking from behind her chair, spying on Rhett. Once Rhett put the last dish away he turned to see Alex peering at him. Alex became extremely embarrassed and hid. All Rhett could do was smile and laugh to himself. "Alright littel lady, you ready?" Alex was completely red as she nodded and began to sit up. Rhett smiled softly at her and escorted her to the door. Once they walked to the dirt "parking" lot, he led her to a big dark green pickup. Alex stood with amazement. He opened the door for her and smile. Alex returned the smile before she exciting grabbed the seat to get in. Rhett was half way to the other side before he noticed she wasn't in the truck yet. His dimpled cheeks faded away with the smile and was replaced with a look of worry. He basically ran to her open door. Once he got there he had to stop and laugh. Alex was struggling to get into the truck. He heard her cuss under her breath. She was trying so hard, it was to Cute. Once she finished struggling and decided to just lay there with her legs hanging out of the truck, Rhett decided he should help. "Want some help shorty?" He asked still giggling. Alex looked over her shoulder and smiled shyly. "Yes please. " Rhett smiled and helped her up. Then returned to His side. Because Rhett was probably around 6'3 he had No trouble getting in. Once the truck was started, Alex almost flew out of her seat from the radio. Country music was blaring from His trucks speakers. He turned down the radio looking a bit embarrassed. "Sorry.." he said shyly. Alex smiled. " No worries. Your truck." Rhett grinned at her and put the truck in drive. The ride seemed like forever and Alex was close to passing out. Nothing was really said besides Rhett asking if she liked country music. With Yes as her answer, he turned the radio on low. Alex fought to stay awake, but lost Once they were about 15 minutes away. Rhett decided to just let her sleep. Besides she was probably exhausted.
