Car ride

Rhett was exhausted but he was almost home. He wasn't the only one exhausted. He looked over to see Alex knocked out. He grinned slightly. She looked so peaceful.. He thought as he was contemplating on if her should even want her up. Rhett pulled into the long driveway that lead to his house. Once he put his truck into park, he smiled softly before he touched her shoulder to wake her. Alex woke up with a jump that even made Rhett jump a little. He then softly smiled at her hoping she would find comfort in it. "How's your head feelin? " he asked once she sat up.
He could tell by the look on her face she was still in pain. "Alright, how'a'bout we go in and you can shower while I whip up somethin for you to eat?" Alex sat confused . "Why are you being so nice to someone you just met.. I don't want to take advantage of  you or your home ?" Rhett raised his eyebrow then got out of the truck. He opened her door, made eye contact and said " Because, it's time for a real man to take care of you, to show you that there is happiness and good people. " He smiled softly and held his hand out to help her down. She smiled softly back and hopped out. His house was big. It was hard to tell the color because of the dark, but she did see a few barns as well. He had a nice little place outside of town. They proceeded to walk into the house. Once the lights turned on Alex's eyes grew wide. It was beautiful. Wooden floors and wooden furniture to match. It was just beautiful. Rhett put his keys down. "Whatcha think?" He asked. "Its beautiful!" Alex said excitedly. Rhett smiled "Why thank you, I built and rebuilt everything in here." He said trying not to be to braggy. Alex just stood in awed. After about 5 minutes he asked. "Alright, ready for that shower?" Alex said quietly. " So you're really gonna let a stranger shower in your home?". "I did say that right?" He said with a wink. "What would you like to eat?" . Alex wanted to reply with a nothing, but she was really hungry and didn't want to be rude. "Anything works, I'm not picky." Rhett thought for a moment then showed her to the bathroom and got her a clean towel. "Take your time now no need to rush." He said with a grin before he shut the door.
