Chapter 76: The Price Of Loyalty

**RECAP**

For the first time since Alex was a child, he didn't feel anger. Alex felt frustration, disappointment in himself, and ultimately; sadness. For the first time Alex cried

Alex: "I failed you all..."

Nina hugs Alex

Nina: "The battle isn't over. come on Alex, let's bounce back together"

Alex: "Alright..thank you mom. And I'm sorry"

Nina: "Sorry?"

Alex: "I didn't come to see you after all this time"

Nina: "Don't worry about that, you and you knuckleheaded father will get that scolding at the same time"

Alex laughs

Nina: "Now let's wake up your friends"

Alex: "Right!"

**Meanwhile**

The bomb Nisha has is at 3 minutes and she's barely close to the bridge

Nisha can see the bridge though from where she's at

Nisha: "It's barricaded??? Don't tell me he planned for that too"

The bridge's entrance was blocked with a gate going across the ways Nisha could throw it into the water

Nisha: "Can I climb that in 3 minutes? No I have to...."

Chapter 76: The Price Of Loyalty

After Alex and Nina wake up Luke and Gale, they break down everything that went on while they were knocked out and go downstairs to minimal fighting going on, lots of casualties on both sides but it seems the police are coming out on top thanks to the covert work of the Red Fury counter that the Crekudor siblings devised.

Downstairs they run into Tayko who seems to be as nervous as can be.

Nina: "What's wrong big guy?"

Tayko tells the group what's going on while his comms are on so that Charlotte can hear as well.

Tayko: "That crazy Yosai The Knight planted a bomb so secure that even I couldn't crack it open to diffuse it. It was timed at 15 minutes, and there's only 1 minute left. She was dead set on reducing the blast radius which we needed to throw it in water to do. But-"

Alex: "You haven't heard from her yet"

Tayko closes his eyes nervously and responds

Tayko: "Yes"

Alex: "Well, all we can do is hope for the best"

Gale: "Yes, I hope she's okay"

Charlotte speaks through the comms

Charlotte: "SHE'LL BE FINE, I KNOW SHE WILL"

Luke: *Please, I can't lose another...not my partner too* Luke thinks to himself

Nina: "And what about my husband? I know he passed through here"

Tayko: "I let him go, but before he went I grabbed his shoulder and placed a tracker on his clothes"

Tayko hands Nina the GPS toward the tracker

Nina declines it and points at Alex

Nina: "Give it to him"

Alex: "I'll handle dad...but there's something I need to do. I can't beat him as I am now , but we don't have a lot of time"

Tayko: "No...you don't mean"
