Venice and Phoenix were inseparable.
They woke up together.
They played together.
They caused chaos together.
The idea of them not being a team? Impossible.
Until one conversation changed everything.
____________
It started in the garden, where Venice and Phoenix sat eating their snacks.
Venice swung his legs happily. “Phee, guess what? I made a new friend today!”
Phoenix blinked. “What?”
Venice grinned. “Yeah! His name is Sun, and he’s really cool! He said he likes tigers too!”
Phoenix’s heart sank.
“...Oh.”
Venice kept talking, oblivious to the storm brewing in Phoenix’s little brain.
“He’s really funny too! And he said he wants to come over and play one day!”
That was it.
Phoenix snapped.
“You don’t need another best friend! You already have me!”
Venice frowned. “But I can have more friends—”
“No, you can’t!” Phoenix yelled.
Venice gasped. “Are you saying I can’t talk to other people?!”
Phoenix crossed his arms. “Yes! Because best friends don’t replace each other!”
Venice scowled. “I wasn’t replacing you!”
Phoenix huffed. “That’s exactly what you’re doing!”
Venice huffed back. “Fine! Maybe I don’t want to be your best friend anymore!”
A silence so intense fell over them that the birds stopped chirping.
Phoenix’s face turned red. “Fine! Me neither!”
They turned away from each other, arms crossed, hearts broken.
The worst fight in the history of their friendship had begun.
__________
The house was a war zone.
Phoenix refused to look at Venice.
Venice refused to sit near Phoenix.
When Phoenix took a toy, Venice deliberately picked another one.
When Venice sat on Porsche’s lap, Phoenix curled up with Pete out of spite.
It was chaos.
The family was in shambles.
Kim, recording, smirked. “This is premium drama.”
Chay whispered, “This is bad.”
Macau crossed his arms. “We need to fix this before Uncle Khun finds out.”
Too late.
Khun stormed into the room, dramatically gasping.
“My babies are fighting?!” he cried, grabbing Arm and Pol like he was about to faint. “We need to stop this before it ruins their innocent little souls!”
Porsche sighed. “Venice, why are you mad?”
Venice sniffled. “Because Phoenix is being mean!”
Pete looked at Phoenix. “And you?”
