The Jeon mansion was quiet-too quiet.

Jungkook sat alone in his study, the dim light casting shadows over his sharp features. His fingers curled around a whiskey glass, the amber liquid swirling as he stared blankly at the ice melting inside.

Tonight, like every other night, his past haunted him.

The heavy silence in the house reminded him of everything he had lost. His son, Hwan, refused to talk to him. The boy who once held his hand tightly, who used to run into his arms whenever he returned from work-now looked at him like a stranger.

And told jungkook that he was the reason his mother (tae) has left him ...
(Remember her and jimin heard taekooks conversation)

And maybe... that's what Jungkook had always been to him.

Because Hwang was never his child.

Jungkook let out a humorless chuckle, throwing back the drink in one go.

Lisa had fooled him.

Lisa-his first wife. The woman he had never loved. The woman he had married only because of Hwang.

Flashback -
The Night That Changed Everything

"Jungkook... I found something."

Jungkook had been in his office that night, buried in work, when Jimin walked in. She was his second wife's best friend, but more than that-she was his sister-in-law.

After tae left jungkook will always be burried in his work .....

Cause no one at the house were talking to him....

But jimin coming surprised him cause ... she hated him .. for going this with her best friend

But Jimin had slammed the file onto his desk, her face unreadable.

"You need to see this, Jungkook," she had said firmly.

Something in her voice made him pause. Slowly, he opened the file-and the moment his eyes landed on the papers, his heart stopped.

A DNA report.

Hwan was not his son.

His entire world tilted as he read the results over and over again, hoping it was a mistake.

"This... this isn't possible," he had whispered. His vision blurred, and for the first time in years, he had felt powerless.

Jimin sat down across from him, her voice softer now.

"Lisa lied to you, Jungkook... Hwan's real father was her lover."

Jungkook's fists clenched. His breath turned ragged. "No... No, she would've never-"

"She did." Jimin's voice cracked. "She knew she was pregnant with another man's child, but she still married you. And you-" she swallowed, looking at him with sympathy. "You thought you were doing the right thing by marrying her after she got pregnant."

Jimin:- you did very wrong with tae jungkook ... it was my work to find the truth and I found it .. rest is your concern ...
With that she went away ...

Jungkook slammed the file shut, his whole body trembling.

He had never loved Lisa.

He had only married her because of Hwan. Because he thought the boy was his. Because when Lisa had died giving birth, he had sworn to raise him with all the love in the world.

But now... what was he supposed to do with this truth?

Jungkook blinked as the memory faded, leaving behind nothing but a dull ache in his chest.

Lisa had died lying to him. She had left him with a son that was never his. And the worst part?

He still couldn't stop loving Hwan.

"Hyung."

Jungkook looked up as Namjoon walked in, his older brother's face etched with concern. As its the first time his brothers are talking to him after tae left .. cause namjoon and yoongi always considered tae as there sister...
Well jimin has told everyone already what kook had did..

"You're drinking again?" Namjoon sighed, sitting across from him.

Jungkook let out a bitter chuckle. "What else am I supposed to do? Celebrate?"

Namjoon didn't reply. Instead, Yoongi walked in next, placing a fresh glass of whiskey on the table before sitting beside Namjoon.

"You should've let me handle Lisa when she was alive," Yoongi muttered darkly. "Would've saved you the pain."

Jungkook scoffed, shaking his head. "She's dead, hyung. What's the point of being angry at a ghost?"

But even as he said it, his fists clenched.

Lisa had left behind a mess. A cruel, twisted lie. And now, Hwan-the boy Jungkook had given his entire heart to-was slipping away.

And then, as if his misery wasn't enough, another thought entered his mind. A question that refused to leave him alone.

Did I ever love Taehyung?

His second wife.

The woman he had married with a heart already broken.

The woman he had never given a chance.

The woman who had left him... and taken his son with her.

Jungkook closed his eyes, gripping his temples as the weight of his mistakes crashed over him.

Had he let go of the only person who ever truly belonged to him?
