Next to Parker and his girlfriend, Senpai sat there staring at the gray marble ground, clearly being ignored.
"Kota, Parker and that girl are getting annoying. All they do is stay all up on each other. Do they even stop for a second? We're all always ignored now, and constantly dealing with that. Parker could at least take a break around us. I feel sorry for Alex the most. Look. She took his best friend away from him! Do you even know how that must fee-" I stopped mid sentence, realizing Kota had snuck and walked to the table without a word but her boyfriend Nick on her arm. I questioned whether she'd even heard me talking, then sighed.
No one ever hears small voice me. I look towards the salads, and shyly walk over, looking at each one. I pick the one with the most chicken in the plastic, and take it. I walk a little quicker than normal as I start my way back to my friends.
As I pass everyone, I question whether they're staring at me and silently judging me harshly. I look around me nervously as I walk, wishing my friends were closer. "Oh it feels like they're all looking. L-like I'm the center of attention", I say to myself afraid. I hurriedly rush over to our table, throw my salad down on the table, and sit quickly.
"Bugg?"
"Y-yes?" I buried my face in my hands out of embarrassment and whispered back to Senpai's voice.
"That was quite fast.."
"I-I'm sorry... they all were looking," I said shyly.
"No one is looking. I promise." He said in a soft tone.
I moved my hands slowly from my eyes, trusting him, and feeling safe.
"See?" He asked with a smile.
"Y-yeah, you're right." I said smiling back.
"Hey K-", I stopped mid sentence again, looking beside me and seeing both Kota and her boyfriend making out like no one else is here.
"Nevermind." I whispered, shyly.
"Hey Bugg? Don't let that make you feel bad, okay? Parkers..", he stopped his sentence and to finish, looked over at Parker sitting and laughing with his girlfriend.
"Alex? W-wanna go sit over there?" I asked, pointing to an empty spot at the deserted table beside us.
"Sure!" He said, with a smile.
I shook my head at Kota and Parker before standing and reaching to grab my salad. I rubbed my hands all over the table, and when I didn't feel it there, I whimpered and turned to look down for it.
"I-I got it, Bugg." Senpai said with a dark red blush that made me squeal on the inside.
"Thank you, Alex!" I said happily with my face noticeably turning the color of his.
"It's no problem at all," he said back with a chuckle.
We both walked beside each other blushing, and nervous we'd embarrass ourselves.
When we got to the table, Senpai sat first and placed my food right beside him on the white lunch table. I smiled at him thankfully and bounced my way over beside him. I sat down on the bench and made a small "Oof" sound with my mouth.
"You okay?"
"Y-yeah I just.. w-we've never sat beside each other at lunch before", I said hiding my eyes and face with my hair.
"That's because Parker and Kota tend to separate us. Would you like to move back?" He asked, with a noticeably fake smile.
S-Senpai is faking. S-Senpai became sad when he suggested I move? D-does this mean..?
"B-bugg? You okay? You're really worryi-"
"I don't want to move!", I said louder than normal.
His eyes went wide and mine went down to look at the ground shyly. "I-I'm sorry..", I whispered as I burned with embarrassment.
"Don't be sorry!", he said back with what was definitely a smile. "So whatcha got in that salad?"
