Carlisle POV
The vampire venom shouldn't have too much of an effect on Renesmee, but everyone's still worried- including me. Alice couldn't see her future, so we were all huddled around our little Nessie. Jacob wouldn't even dare to leave for a second.
"Carlisle, don't worry too much. I know you've done your best, but we have to see for ourselves for the final outcome," said my wife. I kiss her on the cheek and sat down in my office thinking about my little granddaughter.
Seth POV
When Jake left the pack again, Leah was left in charge. Having my sister in charge wasn't so great, let alone easy. I'd tried to get her to let me go visit Renesmee to see how she was doing, but she just ignored me and wouldn't let me go.
Leah's still mad about the whole Taylor thing. I mean she was our cousin, I mean is. You just can't go and turn against her because she turned into something else. Like my dad use to say 'everything happens for a reason'. But every now and then, Jake would keep me updated about Nessie's condition. I came to love Nessie as a little sister- probably because of Jake's inner monologue.
"Embry, I'm going to check on Jake and Renesmee. Whatever you do, don't change into a wolf, and don't tell Leah," I said as I started to head towards the Cullen's house.
"I'll try Seth," he yelled back.
Embry POV
This is not going to end well when Leah finds out where Seth had gone . . . Darn it! I was hoping it will be a while before I'd run into Leah.
"Embry!" Yelled Leah. I started to run, but she quickly caught up to me.
"Where's Seth?" she growled.
"I don't know. I swear!" I said panicking.
"Embry!"
"Okay. Okay. He went off to Jake and Nessie."
"God dammit! I told him not to check up on them, and what does he do? He goes off to the vampires. You're coming with me, Embry." Why me? Why must she be so mean to me?
