The Bible

I just want to dedicate this chapter to telling you that this or any devotional should be replace you reading the Bible. Although devotionals can be good for a quick lesson based on one topic, the Bible is directly from God. It should not be replaced. I, too, struggle with not reading the Bible enough, but I believe that it is something we should all do on a daily basis.

2 Timothy 2:16 says, "All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."

While I am just a human being writing a devotional, every word in the Bible is exactly what God wants to be said. He approved of all of it. Why would you want to completely give up reading the Bible so that you can read something a human being wrote.

I am not saying that it is wrong to read a devotional. Devotionals are good if you are looking for something quick to read or if you are looking for a specific topic, but God's word is the perfect book to read when you are struggling with hard times or if you are in the height of life.

Dear Lord,

I don't always read your word, and I know I need to. Please help me to put aside time to focus on you. Thank you for all you do in my life.
