I had already started drifting off to Lala land when I felt his arms around me, I knew he wasn't going to give up. I sank into him the more, enjoying his presence, my head on his chest, his arms around me and hearing him read duas over me. What more could I ask for.
Around three we woke up from the sound of someone knocking on the door.
Maryam: Iman, open the door, where is farouk?
He sighed throwing his head back getting off but I quickly got up, pushed him behind the door and opened it, she was about to come in when I used a hand and pushed her back.
Iman: Excuse me, are you crazy or what, waking someone up in the middle of the night, are you insane.
Maryam: Mind your tongue you crazy bi**, where is farouk?
Iman: You might as well open up my stomach with a knife to see if he's inside-ohh wait a little him is.
Maryam: Youuuu, just move away.
She tried to push me away, but I don't know where I got the strength to push her that hard she almost fell. She was furious, coming towards me but he pulled me back and shut the door locking it.
Maryam: Open the door if you're not afraid scary cat.
He opened his mouth about to talk but I closed it with my hand.
Iman: Please I don't have anything to give you, you should've been here when I had some left over change.
He muffled his laugh and pulled me away from the door when she started hitting it hard.
She got tired and left, then he immediately left before she came back and she did, but then I heard him.
Farouk: Maryam what are you doing?
Maryam: Maryam? You don't..
Farou: Baby it's the middle of the night.
He said their voices trailing off I guess he took her away.

Maryam: Where were you?
Farouk: I went out to get some air.
Maryam: Are you done working?
Farouk: Yes
Right on cue, his savior came in crying.
Farouk: Asnad, what's wrong?
He asked picking him up. He continued crying without answering him.
Farouk: Wanna sleep with me?
He nodded. At this point he's scared of maryam so he'll do whatever possible to keep her away. He took him away maryam frustrated.
Maryam: I get it, he loves iman too much to come close to me. I'll gladly get rid of her.

Farouk: All of a sudden?
Maryam: Yes, I have to get to katsina as early as possible my grandfather is sick.
Farouk: Ohh, okay.
He said standing in front of the vanity table
Maryam: I'll miss you. (she said hugging him)
Farouk: (Chuckled nervously) hmm.
Inside he was jumping with joy, shes going to be gone for two whole days.

Iman: Katsina?
Farouk: yeah, that's where her grandparents live.
Iman:... Remember when I was having those nightmares? (He nodded) I had a dream about katsina, I even asked you-
Farouk: Yeah, that's odd.
I Paced around the room trying to remember what I saw in the dream but all in vain I couldn't remember a thing.
Farouk: Its okay anyways we know what shes going there to do and we need to find a way to stop it.
Right on cue Yusra came in.
Yusra: I got the bracelet.
Farouk: Thanks.
He said collecting it and put it around her wrist.
Farouk: Keep this on, we don't know what she might do.
Iman: Where is your ring you should also wear it.
Farouk: In my room.
Iman: I'll go get it.
She walked passed them and went upstairs for his room.
Farouk: Soo what did the scholar say?
Yusra: I didnt tell her cause I know she'll e worked up about it but the bracelet isn't going to shield her from every curse.
He nodded going over what she said.
Five minutes later she still hasn't come down so he went after her yusra leaving. He walked up lost in thought but when he opened the door to the room he found her seated on the floor her head between her hands, he rushed over to where she was, her eyes were red and her face had turn pale looking lifeless.
Iman: My.. my head.
This was the same pain she was experiencing that she had a while back but this time her face felt stiff like there was no oxygen her throat felt tighter.
He had no idea what to do so her pulled her into his arm burying her head in his chest as he recites every du'a he could thing of. And 10 minutes later she dozed off, that gave him a bit of peace of mind.

Farouk: I want to come with.
Iman: It's nothing serious he's just gonna burn the chains.
Farouk: Then why do you have to go.
Iman: Just go to the office I'll be back before you know it.
He sighed and nodded staring at her.
Farouk: How are you feeling?
She gave him a tight smile and laid down on his lap.
That's how both of them dozed off on the couch while talking about random stuff. Around past midnight he laid there with her on top of him as he ran the tip of his fingers on her baby hair, he could feel her heart beat like his own, all he was thinking about was how to get rid of this problem, how to fix what he damaged.
After taking her bath, she dressed in a caramel sun ray pleat skirt and a beige button up shirt with a caramel jersey veil, brown bag and brown shoes.
He stared at her from the couch mouth agape.
Farouk: Where.. are you going again? (He asked approaching her)
Iman: Going out with Yusra have you forgotten?
Farouk: But.. But..
Iman: We might go for ice cream after.
Farouk: So you rejected my date to go out with MY sister?
Iman: I told you its important.
Farouk: And after?
Iman: (Sighed) Fine I'll come back early.
She said placing a kiss on his cheek and then sauntered out.
