The room was in a total mess, the mirror was broken, everything that was on the vanity table was on the floor broken into pieces, her laptop open, broken into two with a shattered screen and next to it was her phone, lets just call it her old broken phone, that's not even half of what she did, lets not even go to the closet and the wall. Lets just *sigh*...
I sighed, carefully found my way to the closet and grabbed a few things that weren't destroyed that she would need.
On my way back I stopped on the way and grabbed Dinner and some few stuff we would need.
Iman: Heyy
She said as soon as I entered, I smiled at how she was almost back to normal as she collected what I was holding.
Farouk: Sorry I was caught up, are you hungry?
Iman: Kind of.
She said dropping the paper bags on the dinning.
Iman: Ohh um did you get my phone?
Farouk: Umm...
I looked at her nervously as I brought out the new one I got hours ago and dropped it in front of her.
Iman: God! What did she do to my stuff?
She sat down palming her face.
Farouk: I'm sorry.
I said almost inaudible feeling guilty.
Iman: It's been like a month since I backed up my things to the cloud, I've got important documents in there.
Farouk: It's okay I'm sure we can get them back... I'll help you set up, eat first.
She nodded and got up.
I watched her quietly as she ate with a sad restless face.
Iman: Waitt. There was a time you set my phone to automatic back up right?
She abruptly said.
Farouk: Ohhh yeah yeahh, I did that I think a month ago or so.
She let out a breath she didnt know she was holding which made me laugh.
Iman: Its not funny (she chuckled) I had already started thinking of how I would start working on those documents.
Farouk: What documents BTW?
Iman: Office documents and also some of the orphanage documents.
Farouk: We could've gotten those back easily why worry yourself.
Iman: There are some that cant be recovered. But some are on my laptop soo (she shrugged)
Ohh lordd I got chills.
Farouk: Your laptop is also on automatic back up right?
I asked trying to make it sound unrelated and casual.
Iman: Ohh God! (She took a breath) Ohkayy umm when last did you use it?
Farouk: Uhm I think about three weeks ago.
Iman: Did you connect it to the internet-please say yes.
She muttered making me chuckle.
Farouk: Yess I did.
She let out a breath taking her attention back to the plate.
Iman: Where is she?
She asked after a while of silence catching me off guard.
