FARMAN

Frozen on the spot

He locked the door behind him and walked to her.

Farouk: Iman? (He called placing a hand on her, she flinched) it's me, calm down.

Her eyes softened seeing it was really him and he wrapped his hands around her, resting her head on his chest.

They both fell asleep like that on the carpet, The adhan woke them up, without a word to each other they got up and prayed. After he went out, he checked on maryam and she was still asleep, a part of him was telling him to wake her up to pray but another wanted peace at that moment.

Going back to the room, he prayed some additional Nafils and before he finished Iman was already in bed.

He got up folded the mat and sat down on the floor next to the bed taking her hand.

Farouk: Iman, I'm sorry.

Iman: You didn't do anything.

Farouk: I just felt the need to say it.

Silence evolved before he broke it by placing his hand on her Stomach.

Farouk: Heyy there chipmunk... I need a favor, you're the closest to your mom so please relay this message to her... tell her I love her- the both of you and I promise to protect you no matter the situation, I wouldn't let anything happen to the both of you because you mean the world to me and I can never imagine living a second without you... I just wish I could take you away from all this because you don't deserve it but I guess its a test from the above... I know you're upset and I would do anything to make it up to you, I just want to make you happy-

Before he finished she had already landed on his wrapping her hand around his neck, letting the tears roll down freely.

Iman: I'm not mad at you.

Farouk: (Let out a breath) I love you Ma raine, and please be careful next time you know youre not alone any more.

She chuckled as she snuggled into him the more.

In the morning she opened her eyes slowly but steady, it all felt like a dream but luckily it wasn't, she looked around the room but he was no where to be found, she guessed "Must be in his room"

After a while I decided to go check on him to see if he was around, I heard maryam's voice from his room, I didnt really care anymore so I walked there revealing an opened door and what made me question my existence.

Waking up before her, I quietly left the room to go take a bath knowing I might be called into the office at any time plus I had a conference call in about 2 hours so I better prep for it.

Walking out of the bathroom I found Maryam anxiously sitting on the bed I guess waiting for me.

Farouk: What are you doing here?

I asked walking towards the vanity ignoring the fact that I'm shirtless and only wearing my sweats.

Maryam: Farouk...

She called coming towards me but I turned and made her stop.

Farouk: You can talk from where you are.

Maryam: Please dont do this farouk please.

She ignored my warning and still walked to where I was barely leaving a feet between us.

Maryam: Forgive me and we'll live a happy life farouk, lets make a family of our own.

Farouk: After what you did, you even have the audacity.
