The wind whispered through the trees, carrying with it the scent of damp earth and pine. The moon hung low in the sky, casting pale light over the small, secluded cottage. My breath came slow and measured as I stood in the doorway, staring at the man before me.
He was beautiful, almost unreal. His golden hair framed his delicate face, his eyes shimmering under the flickering lantern light. There was something hauntingly familiar about him, something in the way he looked at me as if he had known me before I had even spoken a word.
"Master?" His voice was breathless, uncertain.
I frowned, shifting on my feet. "I'm sorry… do I know you?"
A flicker of pain crossed his face so quickly I almost missed it. He lowered his gaze for a fraction of a second before lifting his chin, forcing a small smile.
"You don't remember me?" he murmured, voice soft as silk. "But I… could never forget you."
A strange sensation curled in my chest—an ache I couldn't place. My fingers twitched at my sides as if they were trying to grasp at something just out of reach, a memory slipping through my fingers like grains of sand, maybe i skipped some part of the novel
Who is this pretty creature? i pondered
The forest around us remained eerily silent, as though it, too, was waiting for my response.
"You said you're lost?" he asked after a beat, tilting his head slightly. Sunlight kissing his delicate face, making it ethereal
I nodded, my throat suddenly dry.
Jimin exhaled, stepping aside. "Come inside. I’ll help you."

The warmth of the cottage was a stark contrast to the chill of the forest. A fire crackled softly in the hearth, its golden glow flickering against the wooden walls. The place was small, cozy, but well-kept, with books stacked in neat piles and dried herbs hanging from the ceiling.
I sat stiffly at the wooden table as Jimin moved with practiced ease, pouring steaming tea into a delicate ceramic cup. His hands were steady, graceful, as if he had done this a thousand times before.
"You never told me your name," I said, my voice quieter than intended.
Jimin placed the cup before me, his gaze unreadable. "Jimin."
The name felt heavy in my mind, tugging at something deep inside me. It was familiar in a way that sent shivers down my spine, as though it belonged to a life I had long forgotten. Maybe y/n's memories are erased before i came here?
I wrapped my hands around the cup, letting the warmth seep into my fingers. "How do you know me?" looking back at him.
He hesitated, lips parting as if to speak, but no words came out. Instead, his gaze dropped to my hands, watching the way they trembled slightly against the ceramic.
"You used to come here," he finally murmured, so quietly I almost thought I imagined it.
I frowned. "What?" there were no scenes in the novel that indicate y/n going to this kind of place.
Jimin swallowed, eyes flickering with something akin to longing. "A long time ago… before everything changed, you used to come here. This was our place."
My heart clenched. His words rang in my ears, familiar yet foreign, like a melody I had once known but forgotten how to hum.
The room blurred at the edges as a memory surfaced—
