"Please, don't go!" Nina begged as I packed up the last of my clothes.
"Sorry, Nee, but I'm going on this trip," I shrugged, knowing she was joking.
"But I'm going to be sooooooooo bored without you here!" She whined.
"You'll get over it soon enough. Besides, maybe you can meet up with that Owen guy you were talking about before," I teased, wiggling my eyebrows suggestively.
"Oh , yeah, sure, like that will cure my boredom," Nina rolled her eyes.
"It's worth a shot," I encouraged. "Well, I should probably get going. The bus leaves at 9."
"Okay," Nina's shoulders visibly slumped. She hung her head sadly, then raised it slightly and pulled her best puppy dog eyes. "Please stay."
"I'm sorry, Nina," I replied, walking over to her and embracing her in a hug. "I'll be back before you know it."
She wrapped her arms around me tightly and swayed us back and forth slightly before sticking something in my back pocket.
"Remember your promise," she said simply.
"What promise?" I asked, confused.
"No baby making on this trip," she teased, making a tsk-ing noise with her mouth and waving her finger. I just rolled me eyes and shook my head, laughing.
"No promises."

"Ah, Miss Othrough! Glad you could join us," Mr. Danforth grinned. "You can just set your luggage here and get on the bus. We will be at O'Hare roughly 24 minutes after we leave, which will be as soon as the last few students arrive, so make yourself comfortable and chat with the other students."
I nodded and climbed onto the Coach bus, scanning the seats. I quickly saw that there were about eight students already here, both Ross and Megan being two of them. I spotted Megan waving slightly and gesturing to the empty seat next to her. I smiled and took that spot.
"Hey, chica!" Megan grinned. She and I had grown a bit closer in the past few weeks, as I had with the other students as well. I had introduced myself to all of them and knew the basics about each one. I instantly clicked with Sadie, Will, and Harry, and I got to know them pretty well.
"Are you excited?" I asked, then realized how dumb the question was.
"No, I'm dreading this trip," Megan deadpanned. "Of course I'm excited, blondie!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know it was stupid. I realized that as soon as the question came out of my mouth," I stated, mentally facepalming.
"That's Aspen for ya," Megan teased. I punched her arm lightly as another two students climbed onto bus and took seats. Fred and Dani.
"Shut up, I know I'm an idiot alright. I mean, have you seen my hair?" I joked.
"That's offensive to a lot of people on this bus," a voice spoke from the back.
I didn't even need to turn to know who it was.
Lauren Wilson.
AKA the queen bitch of this trip.
Who just so happened to be blonde.
"I was just joking. I know a lot of smart people who are blonde. It's just a dumb stereotype, and I decide that instead of fighting it, I should just embrace it and make a joke out of it. It makes life more laughable and easier to laugh at yourself," I explained, hoping I wasn't offending her. As much as I already hated her, I didn't need to become Public Enemy No. 1 before the trip even started, and Lauren could make that happen with the snap of her fingers.
"Are you saying I'm too uptight?" Lauren asked, rising up from her seat.
"No I was just saying that's my philo-"
"Zip it, Othrough. I really don't like you, and I don't need you running your mouth this whole trip. So just stay quiet and everything will be fine," she warned.
"Hey, don't tal-"
"Megan, shut up," I whispered, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back down.
"Why should I? That bitch needs to learn a lesson," Megan growled.
"Maybe after the trip. The last thing we need is us getting in some petty cat fight before this experience even starts. Just stay calm and you can kill her on three weeks time. I promise."
Sorry this ones a bit shorter but I felt like this was a good place to stop.
shoutout to all the Laurens out there nothing against you I love you I'm just using your name you're amazing don't forget that
