The air was thick with music and laughter, the pre-celebration before Ragini and Samar’s big day already in full swing. The night was vibrant, yet Manvi found herself distracted.

Veer had been persistent all evening, his casual touches and flirtatious remarks bordering on something she wasn’t comfortable with.

“Come on, Manvi,” he smirked, blocking her way as she tried to walk past. “You’re too beautiful to be standing alone. Let me give you company.”

Manvi sighed, forcing a polite smile. “I’m fine, Veer.”

"You know," Veer took a step closer, his fingers reaching her waist, "I’ve always wondered how someone like you could be single. A girl as stunning as you deserves to be adored."

Manvi rolled her eyes, "Flirting won’t get you anywhere, Veer."

"Oh? But what if I want it to?" His fingers trailed lower, dangerously close to crossing a line.

Before Manvi could react, a sudden gust of heat radiated behind them. The music, the crowd, everything seemed to blur in the presence of a storm, Ayaansh.

His eyes burned with a darkness she had never seen before.

In one swift motion, he grabbed Veer’s wrist with a grip so tight it made the latter wince.

"Get. Your. Hands. Off. Her," Ayaansh’s voice was low, deadly. The warning in his tone was enough to send a chill down Veer’s spine.

Veer chuckled nervously, trying to shake off the grip. "We were just dancing"

Ayaansh yanked him back, his grip unrelenting as he towered over him. His usually calm demeanor was gone—replaced by something dangerous.

"You think I didn’t see it?" His voice was a growl, his gaze burning into Veer’s soul. "You think I didn’t see your filthy hands where they shouldn’t be?"

Manvi had never seen Ayaansh like this before.

His possessiveness was raw, unfiltered, undeniable.

Veer swallowed hard. "I didn’t mean anything"

Before he could finish, Ayaansh shoved him back with such force that Veer stumbled, barely catching himself.

Ayaansh turned to Manvi then, his fingers tilting her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze.

"You’re mine, Manvi," his voice was firm, unwavering. "Only mine. And I won’t let anyone forget that."

A shiver ran down her spine at his declaration. The air between them crackled, thick with unspoken emotions.
