(Katie McCabe and Caitlin Foord)

The dim glow of neon lights flickered against the dark London skyline as Katie leaned against the balcony railing, a cigarette dangling between her fingers. The city buzzed below, but all she could hear was the pounding bass of the club they'd just escaped from. The adrenaline from the match earlier still coursed through her veins, but nothing compared to the way Caitlin made her feel.

"Why'd you drag me out here?" Caitlin asked, stepping up beside her. Her Aussie accent curled around the words like smoke, intoxicating and heavy. She was still dressed in the leather jacket she'd thrown over her club outfit, a stark contrast to Katie's loose tee and ripped jeans.

Katie took a slow drag of her cigarette, exhaling as she turned to Caitlin with a smirk. "Just wanted to watch you."

Caitlin rolled her eyes, nudging Katie's shoulder. "You're ridiculous."

"I'm serious." Katie flicked her cigarette away and faced Caitlin fully. "I wanna watch you like a movie. Put you on a stage, see what you'd do to me."

Caitlin's breath hitched for just a second, but she recovered fast, crossing her arms. "You're drunk."

Katie chuckled, shaking her head. "Not enough to forget this." She reached for Caitlin's waist, pulling her in slightly. "Not enough to forget how you looked tonight, under those flashing red lights. Like a fucking star."

Caitlin didn't pull away. If anything, she stepped closer, until there was barely any space between them. The music from inside pulsed through the walls, the lyrics whispering against their skin like a dare.

Baby, you're a star... Fuck me all night... Show me who you are...

Caitlin swallowed hard. "You don't know what you're asking for."

"Don't I?" Katie challenged, her fingers ghosting over Caitlin's hip. "I wanna hear you talking dirty. I wanna see it on your face. I wanna feel you put the work in."

Caitlin let out a breathy laugh, tilting her head slightly. "That right?"

Katie nodded. "I wanna watch you entertain."

There was a moment—a split second where the weight of everything between them hung in the air, electric and dangerous. Caitlin's hand found Katie's jaw, tilting her head up just enough to steal her breath away. "Be careful what you wish for, McCabe."

Before Katie could respond, Caitlin closed the distance, her lips crushing against Katie's with the kind of intensity that could only come from months of unspoken tension. Katie melted into it, her fingers tangling in Caitlin's hair as she deepened the kiss, claiming and giving all at once.

The city disappeared. The noise, the crowd, the expectations—none of it mattered. All that existed was Caitlin's lips, the way her hands pressed against Katie's back, the heat radiating between them.

When they finally broke apart, Caitlin's forehead rested against Katie's, her breath warm against her lips. "Still wanna watch?"

Katie grinned, pressing a teasing kiss to Caitlin's jaw. "I wanna do more than just watch."

Caitlin smirked. "Then let's get out of here."

Katie didn't hesitate. Hand in hand, they slipped back into the chaos of the club, disappearing into the neon haze, ready to rewrite their story under the flashing red lights.
