My teacher Mrs. Anderson prattled on about how the British General John Bologna or something like that won the battle here in 17 something or other. I didn't care why we were here or why there were cannons but I for one was going to figure it out.

Mom wouldn't want me to test this stuff out, but who am I kidding I was getting kicked out anyway, might as well go out with a bang.

I snuck off as stealthily as is possible for a ten year old and ran around the battlefield to a soft embankment where cannons were lined up. Let's see if any of these 200 year old cannons work. My hands almost let the cannon ball slip away, the thing had to weigh at the very least 50 pounds! I finished loading the gun powder, then the cannonball. The fuse already set, all i had to do was light it.

I started scrambling for a match, a lighter anything. There sitting on the ground was some flint and steel. I scraped the flint along the steel as fast as i could until the fuse lit up. I backed away slowly until I backed into Mrs. Anderson. "BOOOOOM!" the cannon went sailing, that's when i realized my mistake. The cannon was heading straight for the school bus. It was going to hit in 3, 2, 1.

"PERSEUS JACKSON!!!! YOU ARE... GOING STRAIGHT TO THE PRINCIPLES OFFICE AS SOON AS WE GET BACK TO THE SCHOOL!!!!!!" Mrs. Anderson screamed.

I knew i'd done it this time, No way I wasn't going to get expelled. "I...I swear Mrs.Anderson I wasn't aiming for the school bus, I just wanted to have some fun" I pleaded nervously.

"I know you didn't mean anything by it Percy, but you'll be expelled anyways. It's school policy." Mrs Anderson said while looking at me with a mixture of sympathy and pain in her eyes.
