Rain's POV:
Me: "Water style, Thunder storm jutsu!" I whispered, starting the storm for the fight.
I sighed and walked so I was standing across from Kakashi. I could be nice and take it easy on him, but...hey, let's be honest, being nice isn't really my thing. I pulled a kunai and looked at him, watching for a movement that would signal an attack. We stared at each other for what seemed an eternity, and then he made up his mind. Literally, like, I was in his mind. I smirked and dodged just as he came within an inch of me. I grabbed his arm and threw him into a tree. He jumped off of it and jumped towards me again, and this time, I didn't move. He threw a punch, and I blocked it with my hand, then punched him in the stomach, sending him flying again. He ran at me and tried to punch me again, but I caught his arm and twisted it behind his head, with a kunai at his neck.
Me: "Please. That was way too easy...huh?"
He was smiling, and then he disappeared. I saw him off a ways, but only a few meters. I smirked. Now was my chance to try out the jutsu I copied. I took a deep breath and got into my fighting position.
Me: "Fire style, fireball jutsu!" I said, sending a ball of fire at him. His eyes widened...and then he disapeared. "Where did you go?" I muttered, then noticed he was under me.
I smirked and put a paper bomb on the ground under me and made it explode. Kakashi came flying out of the ground high into the air. I jumped up and kicked his stomach, sending him plummeting into the ground. I landed, kicking him deeper into the ground and creating a crater. Then I did some hand signs, and waited for him to get up. He did, and I captured him in shadow possession jutsu. There was some scattered mumbling, and only one person was clapping. I turned to the sound, to see the Hokage clapping and smiling. I released the jutsu and walked over to him, turning off my Byakugan as I did.
Me: "Lord Hokage."
Hokage: "Thank you for your help with Orochimaru, Rain." I nodded. "Judging by your fighting skills and strategy, I would have to say you are jounin material." he said, tossing me a jounin vest. I held it in my hands, just staring at it. "Why not put it on?" I did. "There we go. Now, report in tomorrow and I'll see if I can get a mission for you." He said, and walked back in the direction of his office.
Minato, Rin, and Obito ran over to me, smiling and patting my back.
Obito: "Congratulations!"
Rin: "You did wonderfully!"
Minato: "Way to go!"
Me: "Thank you..." I muttered, then walked over to Sakumo, Kakashi's father. "Sir?" he looked at me. "Your son is an excellant fighter. It was a honor fighting him. If anything, he should be the one who has become a jounin, not me." He raised his eyebrows. "Your son, Kakashi, is a wonderful person at heart, even if he can seem cold on the outside." I said, and walked away, leaving people staring at me.
Kakashi: "Hey!" I stopped. "Wait up!" I looked over my shoulder to see him running over to me. "Why are you just walking away?"
Me: "The fight is over, unless you want me to actually try."
Kakashi: "What's your problem?"
Me: "The wrong person got the job today." I said, and started walking again, but Kakashi started to follow. "What do you want?"
Kakashi: "Listen. You're annoying and I don't really like the fact that you're stronger than me, but I would like to be your friend." I stopped mid-step. "Yeah."
Me: "Why?"
Kakashi: "I dunno. I'm just getting the friend vibe from you." he said casually, in his same bored tone.
