Draco looked over at me the emotions in his face unreadable as I sat down next to him. I hoped that my face was just as blank as his considering right now I was literally bursting with tiny fireworks of excitement on the inside. My first actual conversation with Draco Malfoy was about to take place and everyone could see my bra through my shirt...this is just great
"Hello, I'm Scarlett Elm. My incredible skills of deduction have lead me to believe that you are Draco Malfoy. Would that be correct?" A smile played across my lips as I spoke. I didn't sound that weird. It was a start to say the least. I held out my hand for him to shake not knowing what else to do.
The edges of his lips curved into a small smile but his eyes did not change as he looked at my hand. He shrugged "Anyone is better than Parkinson, even some stupid Hufflepuff American mudblood " he was now full on smirking at me. I could tell he was anticipating my reaction.
I sat there in shock for about three seconds allowing myself to process the bomb that had just exploded off of Draco's beautiful pale-pink lips. Admittedly, I had planned for this interaction to go much better and it hurt me that he was so unlike what I had imagined him to be in my head. However, I would not allow him to see that he had gotten to me. I smiled at him sarcastically and responded just as coldly as he had "Wow, I didn't think the rumors were true but it turns out you are an idiotic little bitch!" I said in fake fascination before putting my hand back down accepting the fact that there was a very low chance he was actually going to shake it.
He just continued smirking seemingly oblivious to my statement as he bowed to me dramatically. "So they claim, but I prefer the term defiant sexy prince" he said placing his hand in his hand and resting his elbow on the table. "Just seems more ...accurate, don't you think?"
Can he just make up his God damn mind?! He can either be mean or flirty but not both. He was making it so hard to form an opinion of him so I just shook my head and turned to listen to Snape's lecture on something I already knew about due to hanging out with Alice who considered the proper way to boil dragon blood an interesting and enjoyable topic of conversation.
That was when I felt Draco's hot breath on my neck as he leaned over my shoulder to whisper in my ear. "You know I've heard rumors about you too..." He said oblivious to the lesson going on.
I responded with out turning back to him in order to make it seem like I was paying attention. "and what would those rumors be?" I whispered
"That you are a simply wonderful fuck" he once again came close to my face to speak so I could feel the smirk playing across his lips.
I sat there frozen in shock. I was a virgin! Who was going around saying things like that when I had never even been remotely that intimate with a guy?! I tried to remain calm as I spoke still not looking at him "How did you hear that?" I tried my best to sound curious but not offended.
He shrugged not bothering to lean in and whisper this time "Blaise has some theories"
I couldn't help but laugh. "Of course he does...pig" I mumbled sarcastically deciding I was officially done talking to Draco for the rest of class.
I gave my attention back to Snape just in time to hear that we had been assigned an essay on the uses of bezoar to be done with our partners by next Tuesday. I silently prayed that he would switch us back once again so I could work with Alice whom I'm pretty sure has been boiling nettles since before she could walk ; but unfortunately Snape said nothing about switching desks again to both Parkinson's and my despair. He gave us the last five minutes of class to talk with our partners about the essay. I too about two of those minutes bracing myself to once again face Draco Malfoy.
"So I guess we have a paper then...if you want I can do the whole thing. I'm pretty sure that would be better for both of us" I suggested trying my best to get out of ever communicating with the ass known as Draco Malfoy ever again.
He turned to me a flash of insecurity playing across his eyes while his face remained otherwise emotionless "No we are going to work together" he stated simply an air of authority in his voice.
I shrugged off the shock at his eagerness to work with me and replaced it with indifference "alright we should probably plan a time over this weekend to meet up and get started then" I half smiled pleased with the fact that I wouldn't have to do all the work myself.
He smirked and twirled his quill in his hand casually "Well you obviously don't have plans tonight so we might as well get it out of the way. See you in the library at six 'o clock...sharp"
He left before I had a chance to respond so I simply packed up my things and left partially thankful I didn't have to come up with a comeback to his sassiness. I searched my bag until I found the I pod and headphones that I had snuck on the train in the beginning of the year. I hid them in the long sleeve of my robe and began walking to my next class, muggle studies.

Anyways, not many people are reading this so far or at least it appears that way so if you are reading this can you do me a solid by letting me know by commenting/voting? It really helps to motivate me to write more! I am going to try to have a chapter up by 1:00 pm tomorrow (California time) so stay tuned!
