I feel the ground beneath my feet for the first time in a while, and it is a great feeling. The agents stand near their prisoner, and I know that I will need to reorganize the groups. Mark is with Mike, but Ava is gone. Alex and Olivia were supposed to have Steve, but Steve's gone as well. Ryan and Ally were supposed to have Ian, but we lost Ian as well. Lucas and I go to Scott, and Ally joins Mark to watch over Mike. Ryan joins Olivia, to watch Steve. After we have sorted out the prisoner situation I get my bearings. I have a GPS, so that we can make our way to the prison.
I also take a few practice hops, to see how my movement is different. I bounce high, and slowly land back onto the ground. I set off, and everyone follows. We walk north, and climb a small hill. When we reach the top, we see a crater, which was formed when an asteroid hit the moon about 50,000 years ago. In the center of that crater is the jail. For the last two years builders from 29 different countries have been making their jail. It is the size of a large house, and has all of the newest technology. They finished the jail a few months ago, so everything is still in perfect shape. We continue to follow along, and start walking down the crater. Ryan jumps over the lip, and helps us all over it. We climb down, and start to descend. I suddenly have an idea, and decide to test it out.
I tell Olivia that I am going to have her jump, and I'll give her a lift. If my idea works, it will save us a lot of time, and energy. She walks up to me, and Mark helps me hold her up. We push her up, and she kicks off. She flies forward, and floats down closer to the jail. She lands a few hundred feet away and gives us the thumbs up. Ally and the rest of the group circle around us, and we get down to work. Mark and I pick up Ally, and toss her. She flies a way down, and walks the rest of the way to Olivia. Lucas and mark pick me up, and I get ready to be launched. They push me forward and up, and I fly though the air.
I turn and go into a dive, to get more momentum. I fly towards the ground, and brace myself for impact. When I am about twenty feet from the ground, I flip over, and land on my feet. I walk over to meet with Ally and Olivia, and see Lucas flying towards us. The rest of the team joins us soon, and we wait for Mark. Mark was the last person, so he didn't get tossed. He jumped himself down, so it only took about five minutes. We walk for about five minutes before I realize something.
This entire time we were just walking around, these criminals were completely free. They have killed hundreds of people, and could break free at any time. I tell everyone to draw their weapons, and watch the prisoners. I grab my gun, and so does Olivia. Ryan and Lucas pull out their swords, while Mark gets his katana and Ally knocks her bow. They seem hesitant, but I put on a hard face. We may have been through a lot together, but we are not friends and I do not want them seeming like they can do whatever they want. We walk for twenty more minutes, and then the jail comes into view. There are four sections, witch of which are connected by a hallway. There is a large wall surrounding the jail, with razor wire on top.
We continue our decent towards it, when I remember that my earpiece is on mute. I turn it back up, and listen to see if anything is being said. I hear the end of a sentence, and it is coming from a voice that I know. It's not Dallas or Mr. Nostra, but it is definitely a voice that I have heard before. The voice says, "away, stay away from the jail, it's not safe." This doesn't make sense, and I can feel the hair raising on the back of my neck. The voice continues in a hushed tone, saying "Molly, come in Molly," The voice then cracks, and stops talking. A moment later the sound is back, and I can hear another person.
I can hear Dallas yelling in the background. I hear the other person scream, and let out a cry. I hear a gun go off, but don't say anything. I turn my earpiece down, and look around. Everyone else is looking at me, but hadn't heard anything. I turn my earpiece back on, and hear Dallas frantically talking. "Molly," he says, "Molly? Hello?" "Yah, I'm here," I say, trying to sound like I didn't just hear someone be shot. "Hi Molly, it seems like we have had a technology breech. A mentally unstable person got onto the earpiece wave and was trying to make contact with you. I don't know if you heard anything that he said, but don't listen to it, it wasn't true. We have taken care of it, so it won't happen again." I say okay, and roll my eyes.
Yah, taken care of, I think to myself, because you shot him in the head. I tell Dallas goodbye, and mute my earpiece again. I try to believe Dallas, but he just shot someone. I make sure the safety is off of my gun, and tell the group that I will go ahead and scout the prison. I walk away, and make sure to keep my finger on the trigger. I hear a sound, and dive behind a rock. I see an animals tail flash, and jump over the rock.
The animal is like a cat, it has four legs, and is grey. It bares its teeth, and I see three rows of sharp shiny teeth. It is about the size of a mountain lion. It roars, and lunges at me. I dive to the side, and fire my gun into the air. I hear more roars, and five more cats appear. They dive, and I push off the rock. I fly into the air, and take aim. I shoot three bullets into the first cats body.
It roars, and falls to the ground. Mark and the rest of the group appears as the first cat falls. They see me, and start to run. Mark takes out his katana, and throws it to me. I open the magnet on my suit, and the blade comes flying. I slip my gun back into the holster, and stick my hand out. I catch the katana, and throw one of my guns back to Mark. I turn and face the cats. One of them attacks, and I slash at it. The blade catches its head, and cuts deep.
The cat falls to the ground, and dies. I hear a bang, and see a bullet enter the head of one of the other cats, it falls. Three of them are dead, and three are still alive. My friends run in, screaming with their weapons drawn. I have the katana, and an extra gun, which I toss to Scott. Ally has her bow, and Mark has my other gun. Lucas and Ryan have their swords and Olivia has given her extra gun to Steve. The only person without a weapon is Mike. This is because he shouldn't be trusted with one. He is standing on the outskirts, with his fists up, ready to fight one if he has to. Ryan hits one of them with his sword, and red orange blood spills out.
Ally then shots it in the head with an arrow and it dies. One of the last two has made its way towards Mike, and is quickly closing in on him. Olivia turns and runs towards him. She dives in front of Mike and draws her gun. She pulls the trigger, and multiple bullets spray out the cat slows, but does not stop. I scream as it bites down hard on Olivia. She screams out, and tries to shoot at it again. She can't reach it, so I run towards her. I jump and slash through the air with my katana. I drive the blade through its shoulder, and it drops to the ground.
It releases Olivia, and I slice the cat's neck. I kneel by Olivia, as the others kill the other animal. Olivia has large teeth marks all over her body, and one tooth has punctured her mask. She clutches her neck, as blood pools out. The other people in our group run over, to try and help. I am pissed, and yell, saying, "Why the hell would you do this? It would have been fine if Mike had been bitten, it would've made our life way easier if he had died! Get your act together soldier, it is stuff like this that gets everyone killed!"
Ally pulls me back, and sternly says, "Molly, they aren't soldiers, they're scientists, they aren't cut out for this." I shove her hand off my shoulder, and look back at Olivia. She is looking at Mike, and Mike starts talking. "Well you see Molly, she did this, because she isn't loyal to you. She isn't who you think she is." He walks the last few feet to where Olivia is lying, and kneels next to her. He pulls on the skin on the side of her neck, and the skin comes off. Her face starts to change, and becomes unrecognizable.
Long black hair changes to short bright red hair, in a pixie cut. Her brown eyes change to green, and Olivia's chapped pink lips change to full red tattooed lips. Mike continues to talk, and my rage grows. "This is Colleen, she is my daughter." My face is turning red, and I know that I am about to snap. Colleen starts talking, in a weak quiet voice. "I interfered with Olivia when she was coming to the base, I got her skin sample, and a mask was made. That's what they were trying to do with Ryan in the hallway. The day before you left I attacked Olivia, and switched places with her. They should have put me on your case, you would've been dead long ago. Too bad they sent an idiot after you."
Before she can talk more, I take out my gun, and put it to her temple. The group gasps, but no one dares come near me. Colleen looks up at me, and with a smirk says, "You do this, and you are no better than us. You've killed before Molly, your slate is no cleaner than mine." I pull the trigger, and calmly stand up, blood splattering my clothing. I go examine one of the cats, and let the people mourn. Steve and Scott kneel next to Colleen, and Steve grabs her hand. I can see tears falling down his face, and can hear him trying to cry silently. I walk back over, and pull my gun out again. "Up," I command to my team members. "Get them up." I put my gun to Steve's back, and yell at him to stand up. The others get Scott and Mike up, and I tell them to keep their weapons ready. They look hesitant to do so, but a stern look keeps their weapons out. We continue to walk, and soon Colleen fades from view.
We arrive at the jail a few minutes later, and I walk up to the gate. Ava and I were entrusted with the codes, so now I'm the only one who knows them. I type in 9317110132, and the panel on the gate opens for everyone. The code is long and annoying, but will be hard for the prisoners to learn. We walk through, and I close the gate behind us. Next is the door, which means another code. I type in 50017102, and the door unlocks. I make sure that none of the prisoners saw it, and lead everyone inside. I close the door, and we get the first look at our building. The walls are stone, and painted white. There is a small office to the right of the door, and inside are the controls for the auto-police. They are robots who will keep the inmates in check once we go back to Earth.
I hit the engage button, and the robots file into the room. There are twenty of them, which gives six robots for each prisoner. I take three pairs of handcuffs, and walk over to the currently free prisoners. I handcuff their hands, and push them roughly towards the robots. The one robot from each group takes out a small needle, and stick their prisoners. This is so they will know exactly who their prisoner is, and who they need to follow around. We have Ryan and Ally go with Mike, Lucas goes with Steve, and Mark and I go with Scott. We walk through the compound, with the robots following behind. We walk down a hallway and end up by the kitchen. There are six robots inside who cook for the prisoners. This is how we insure that the prisoners get fed three times a day.
We walk out of the kitchen, and walk to the rooms. We end up back in the main entrance, but turn left instead of right. We continue down a long hallway, and reach a door. I type in the new code, 9221, this is the code. The door unlocks, and we walk in. I walk up to Scott's door, and type in 711312. The door clicks open, and I walk him in. Inside there is a small bed, a toilet, and a sink. In the other corner there is a small dresser. I tell him to go sit down on his bed, and he glares at me. He sits down reluctantly, and shoves his cuffed hands at me.
A robot comes into the room, and wheels towards Scott. I leave the room, and the robot un-cuffs him. The robot leaves the room, and Scott stands up. He glares at me, and lunges towards the door. He smashes into it, a wild look in his eyes. A robot enters the room, and puts his hands on Scott's back. He sends out a small electrical shock, and Scott slips to the floor. He lets out a scream, and the robot lifts him and places him on the bed. We turn to leave, just as Scott returns to consciousness. "I'll wait to see If he tires anything funny." Mark says. I say okay, and we continue down the hallway. There is a small break, since the rooms next to the first one isn't occupied. As I type in 913661, Mark walks back up. The door opens, Steve voluntarily walks in. I turn to walk in after him, but feel a hand on my shoulder, stopping me. "It's okay, I can do it, he was my prisoner anyway," Ryan says, and I let him. He walks in with Steve, and un-cuffs his hands. He leans down, and whispers something in his ear. Steve nods, and Ryan walks out. He closes the door, and I ask the obvious question.
"What did you say to him?" "Ohhhh, umm I told him that if didn't struggle everything would go easier." I look into the window, and see Steve calmly sitting on his bed. I nod, and we move on. To get to Mike's room, we have to get through another door, which means another code. This is a long one, and is 13911012. The door opens, and everyone follows through. I see Ryan glance at the code before he walks through, and I close the door behind him. We get to the last panel, and I type in the last code. This is the longest, so it's the hardest to get open. The number is 771107230987. The door opens, and we all file in. I draw my gun on Mike, and tell him to lay on the bed. It would be so easy, I think to myself. I have a perfect shot. I could kill him easily, and then go kill the other two. I'd be a hero, I'd make them all pay. My finger twitches over the trigger, and I see Lucas un-cuff him. Everyone files out, and the door beeps behind us. I look back at Mike, and he's staring right at me. He smirks, and I glare back at him. He continues to glare, and my stomach sinks, he knows something, something that I don't.
