Sai's pov

"Wake up..." I hear a soft voice tell me. 'That's a first.' I think to myself as as I wake up. I open my eyes and see Yugi. I feel my face turn super red. 

"Oh! Hey Yugi! Good morning?" I say jumping up and dusting off my wrinkled dress. Yugi just watches me as he slowly gets up. 

"Are you okay Sai..?" He asks slowly. "I don't think you should go to school today, you were sick yesterday and you were just passed out." He looks at me with concern in his eyes. That's a look I haven't seen anyone give me since my mother passed away. 

I feel my eyes water up. Oh no! Not again! How many times are you going to cry!? Yugi probably thinks you're a big baby! Plus you look horrible! There's no way he could ever like you! You look like a mess!!

I'm so mean to myself...

'Yeah you are.' I hear a voice say in my head.

'W-what..?' I ask myself. This can't be right! Now I'm hearing things! There really is something wrong with me. Maybe I shouldn't go to school today. But that means spending the day with my dad at home. I can't do that! Who knows what'll happen..

'Maybe you could ask to go to Yugi's house.' The voice says. I think I need a therapist! 

"SAIKORO!!!" Yugi shouts, snapping me out of whatever kinda state of thought I was in. 

"S-sorry Yugi... W-what was that?" I ask extremely embarrassed. How long was he trying to talk to me!? I feel like a complete idiot.

"That's it!" He says loudly. "There is no way you're going to school today! I'll have Gramps call you in." he grabs my hand and starts to pull me away into the direction of the game store.

'Yugi Moto is holding my hand! My crush, Yugi! I'm gunna explode!!' I think as my face turns bright red.

'Calm down, Girly. If you explode now you won't be able to make out.' The voice says. I feel my face, somehow, go even brighter red. 

'EHHH!? DON'T SAY THAT!!!' I say to the voice inside my head. 'WHAT EVEN ARE YOU!?' I ask trying to change the subject. I can't handle things like this.

'Oh yeah! That's right! I know you but you don't know me!' The voice starts. I start to get impatient. 'I am Saga. I don't remember much else. I do know that I am here to protect you however. So lets be friends!' 

'I'm so confused right now. Am I or am I not going crazy?' I ask the voice, or Saga I guess, determined to get an answer.

"SAI! You're really scaring me! Is something wrong?" Yugi asks. I look at him and realize that he stopped walking and turned around to face me. 

"I'm sorry Yugi. I don't know what's happening. Maybe I really am sick." I mumble quietly while kicking around pebbles.

"Please just respond when I talk to you, okay? I'm really worried..." Yugi tells me as he rakes his hand through his hair, messing it up slightly. I giggle quietly at the misplaced strands of hair. 

He looks at me and rolls his eyes playfully. Then he smiles at me and I smile back. I liked Yugi before and I didn't even know this side of him. I hardly even knew him at all. Now I really know I actually have a reason why I like him so much!

"There you are Yug!" I hear a familiar voice shout. Joey Wheeler! I have to hide! Where! Ugh! There's no where to hide! Maybe Yugi will protect me and stand up for me!

I quickly duck behind Yugi and close my eyes. 'Maybe he'll go away!' I think to myself.

'I don't think so Girly. Aren't Yugi and him friends?' Saga points out for me. That's right. Was this all just a part of some elaborate prank!?

"Sai, why are you hiding?" Yugi asks me quietly. It almost seems like he's putting me before Joey, but Joey has been his friend longer. "Are you afraid of Joey?" 

I slowly nod. He gives me a small smile. "There's no need for that! He's nice when you get to know him!" Does he not understand how long Joey has been bulling me!? Of course he doesn't. I've never told him! "It'll be fine." He says.

Then he takes my hand and moves to the side of me, instead of in front. I almost die but then Yugi hold my hand a little tighter and I realize, I don't have to be scared as long as Yugi is with me. I completely trust Yugi.
