Gossip Girl (1D Edition)

6 Days Before - March 19, 2015

Zayn's POV

I heard something slam in the room next door. Just as I was about to get up and see what was the cause of it, Louis stormed into my room.

"Zayn, what the hell is this?" he yelled while shoving his phone in my face. I took the phone from his hand and carefully read the message on the screen.

"22 year old singer Zayn Malik from One Direction is dropping out of the On the Road Again tour, also known as 'OTRA'. What could have possibly caused the teenage heartthrob to quit what may have just been their biggest tour yet? Perhaps he's finally realized his daunting self worth and is starting a solo career. Who knows? Until next time, xoxo Gossip Girl."

To say I was confused was an understatement. How does this person even know this stuff? I haven't released any of this information to the public, not even the boys. It was something I have been thinking about for a while now and it was honestly one of the toughest decisions I have ever made.

"Louis, you know better than to believe all those rumors." I said trying to prevent him from finding out the truth.

"We all know you wanted a break from all this boy band stuff Zayn and if you honestly feel like taking a break then we understand. All I'm saying is to talk to us mate," Louis said softening his tone of voice.

I sighed, "Well, I might as well just spill it. I was planning on taking a break for quite a while, just to clear my mind and I already spoke to management about it. I was planning on telling you boys tonight after the concert, but I guess you already know." I told him truthfully this time.

"Wait, so you didn't release this to the public?" he asked scrunching his eyebrows in confusion.

"No, I swear." I replied.

"But then if you didn't, who could've possibly known?" he said as the rest of the boys came in, all of them looking down at their phones.

Liam was the first to look up, making eye contact with me immediately. His big brown eyes full of sadness. "Zayn is this true?" he asked.

I sadly nodded, confirming the answer to his question. I then went off to explain why I wanted to take a small break. After I was done, the tour bus was filled with an awkward silence because no one knew what to say. Harry was the first to break the silence by saying, "Why didn't you come to us first then, before releasing this to the media?" You could basically hear the feeling of betrayal in his voice.

"That's the thing we were trying to figure out before you guys came in. Zayn doesn't know who told. He was planning on telling us tonight before going public." Louis said, quickly coming to my defense.

Niall finally decided to join in on the conversation and questioned, "I doubt management would release this information to the press. Usually when this happens we at least know beforehand, so the bigger question is, who's gossip girl and what does she or he have on us?"

A/N: And that was the first chapter to Gossip Girl (One Direction Edition)! Hope that you guys enjoyed it and we will upload the next chapter on Wednesday, July 29th. Also, please bear with us if the writing or plot isn't that interesting, yet. It's only chapter one and you guys are only getting introduced to the characters!
