Gossip Girl (1D Edition)

4 Days Before - March 21, 2015

Zayn's POV

It's been two days since I've dropped the tour and it has also been two days since the Gossip Girl scandal. Last night the boys and I talked about how we are going to deal with Gossip Girl or just the press in general with finding out our information. Niall says not to worry too much about it since this whole experience has taught us to be more careful about what we say and to whom. We all agree with Niall because he does bring up a good point and it is not worth spending time stressing out about something that is more than likely out of our control. However, we all agree that if it does happen again, then we'll look more into it, until then, I am enjoying my time off.

Today is the first time that the boys are performing a show without me and it is a bit bittersweet. I mean, I have been performing with them for almost five years now and I have rarely ever missed a show, but I do think that I really need this small vacation because it allows me to finally think about what I want to do from here.

Right now I'm feeling happier than ever, I'm truly feeling myself. I think I'll have a brief following spree on twitter. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

I take out my phone and immediately open up twitter. Oh look at that, I'm still trending and over one million tweets involve my name. I keep on seeing the same old tweets from last night consisting of the same three groups.

After about a few minutes of going through my mentions, I tweet, "Feeling great ! :D". I instantly receive thousands of replies. I start reading them and there are a lot of "We support you, Zayn" comments, as well as, "We love you Zayn". Smiling to myself I decide to also tweet, "Thank you so much for all of the constant support. Truly means a lot x".

While on twitter I notice this Zayn account is constantly mentioning me and I decide to look at her page. While looking at her account, I see that she has me tagged in this drawing of me. Wow, it looks so rad. I instantly retweet it and respond, "who drew it? It's wicked".

It's officially been about forty minutes that I've been scrolling through twitter and that basically means that I've reached a new stalking limit, haha. As I was about to get off I notice someone tweeted me "What does Perrie think about your decision?". Speaking of Perrie, I should probably talk to her. I haven't talked to her in about three days and last time we spoke I was merely suggesting that I wanted a break, I never confirmed or made anything official to her.

Logging off of the twitter app, I call Perrie and by the third ring she picks up.

"Hey babe, what's up?" she says sweetly.

"Nothing much really. Enjoying my time off I guess." I reply.

"Yeah, about that, I didn't think you were going to take time off so soon."

"It wasn't going to be until later in the year, but the information got leaked ahead of time."

"Some person named Gossip Girl leaked the information right? I heard about it on E! last night, I was meaning to talk to you about it," she said, the concern in her voice evident.

We continued talking for a bit. I discussed how stressed out I am because of all the drama going on and Perrie listened carefully offering a few comments to make me feel better. Because of her busy schedule we only got to talk for about thirty minutes, but I definitely felt a whole lot better after discussing this huge scandal with her. Just hearing her say that she supported me brightened my day by a lot.

Only a few minutes after getting off of my phone, my phone vibrates, letting me know that I have an incoming text message. I open the text and it's from one of my childhood friends named Amanda asking if I want to hang out tonight since we haven't seen each other in about two years. She mentions that she's on vacation with her family, which explains why she could possibly be doing here and not in England. Because we're both in town I decided why not. I text her back, "Sure, wanna walk around?" She instantly replies with yes and we discuss where we will meet up.

While in the shower I think about how awesome it will be to finally see her and get my mind off of the drama and it will give me something to do while the boys were playing at the Mall of Asia Concert ground in Manila.

After I shower and got dressed, I left the hotel. I'm pretty sure the boys had already left to the arena, and as I exist I make sure that no one was following me. Quickly, I walk to the secluded place where Amanda and I decided to meet, and I spot her drinking an iced coffee. I'm shocked at how similar she looked to Perrie. Their faces were fairly different, but if you were looking at their backs or from far away, you would have trouble telling the two apart. The only obvious difference would be the fact that Amanda had tattoos.

I give her a small hug and a brief greeting which she gladly returns. We walked around for a bit making some small talk and catching up on what was new in our lives. We even walked through a street fair. To say I was having fun was an understatement. I felt free and for the first time in a really long time I almost felt normal. There were no paps, no fans, no concerts, no commitments. It was just me and an old friend having a good time.

After a whole night of fun, it was time to part ways. I gave Amanda one last hug and promised to stay in touch. I made my way back to our hotel only to see that the boys were all knocked out in their rooms. I chuckled to myself knowing that it must've been a pretty wild concert. Since I was pretty tired myself, I changed into some pjs and just as I was about to go to sleep my phone vibrated.

Normally I would've ignored it, but I thought it had to be pretty important if someone was texting me at such late hours. When I read the message, I swear my heart stopped beating for a second. The message read:

"Spotted: Z with a mystery girl walking around the city of Manila. Though the person is unknown, there is one thing we know about this girl... she's definitely not Perrie Edwards. Could Zayn be involved in a secret relationship? A love triangle perhaps or is he just a dirty cheater? Until next time, xoxo Gossip Girl."
