[A/N: I've decided to split up the chapters instead of releasing a long final chapter. To not bore you and all. It gives me more wiggle room as well. Be sure to give me some feedback.]

Let me tell you a story.

Once summoned, a princess of snow and white,

Who whispered death in the dead of light.

Yet love had bloomed, so pure, so true,

For the prince adorned in his head of blue.

His enemy, cruel, a bolt took flight,

And pierced his heart—a dimming light.

She wept, she begged, she called his name,

Yet all her cries were lost in vain.

Her hollow grief, a boundless toll,

No effort mended what time had stole.

So from her sorrow, she shaped anew—

A kingdom born from love untrue.

The Throned Knight, the Frostborn Cloud,

The Raging Flame, the Tempests proud.

The Shapeshifter and the Singer's tune,

The Writer's hand and the Forgetter's gloom.

The King stood tall and the Clocktower spun,

Yet none could bring back the cherished one.

Then silence came—a whisper thin,

A voice not his, not bright within.

Cold and patient, waiting near,

A promise murmured close to hear.

"If life will never heed your cries,

Then shall I grant you something... otherwise?"

And in the dark, her breath grew still.

The princess listened. She willed.

And she took the deal.

Kurumi talks to another time. She was familiar with the way her power worked, and know that she was the only one who could use it. It was Zafkiel—her Angel—after all.

Kurumi kept her flintlock trained on a newly-Spirited Origami, her unfamiliar grandeur of her expansive snowy veil fluttering at unseen winds. She reeks faintly of Phantom's energy, and Kurumi found that very unpleasant.

"Keep t-that pointed at me," stammered Origami, "but hold my hand!" She was insistent, and she pleads, "There's someone you should talk to!"

She reached out to hold Origami's hand, as requested. This was before they joined the conflict with urgency.

But in the back of Kurumi's mind, she couldn't entirely keep her focus on the suspicion against this unknown. She had gone through such effort to get Mana and Origami to assist her in possibly researching any way to abate the foreshadowed, unknown armageddon. They discovered its runic, archaic, eldritch familiarity, but that was all they could find about the symbols once Keter Adom and its abilities.

"Kurumi. There's... something you should know."

Shido. Shido's voice echoed through her mind, through time.

"Shido...-san...?" murmured Kurumi in appauling, reserved apprehension.

"Hi, Kurumi..." His voice sounded... happy—nostalgic, even. "I wouldn't be lying if I said I didn't miss hearing your charming voice," he lightly chuckled. "It's even nicer hearing it directly in my head."
