Grace's POV

The train soon arrived at Hogwarts. I got up with Harry, and we walked outside. I couldn’t see Hope anywhere, I think she hates me now. I just lost a friend. I sighed.

“Come on, Grace, let’s go, we’ll find Hope when we get into the castle” Harry told me, tugging on my sleeve.

I nodded and followed him. We stopped when we found our path blocked by a very big man. It was Hagrid. He welcomed us, and showed all of us first years to the boats. I sat down in one, and Harry jumped onto it beside me. I smiled, and he grinned. The boats headed to the castle.

“I wonder what house I’ll be in... I hope I’m not in Slytherin. Mom says that not one good wizard or witch has been in Slytherin” I told Harry.

Harrys eyes grew big. I looked to see what he was looking at. From afar we could see Hope in a boat, all alone. It made me sad thinking I wouldn’t be next to her, smiling and laughing. It seemed like everyone didn’t notice her, maybe she will actually turn out as a wallflower. I sighed.

“Do you think she hates me?” Harry asked me. I shook my head.

“No, but I think she hates me. She doesn’t like seeing us talk and be together” I said.

“How is that a bad thing?” Harry said, wrinkling his nose. I shrugged.

I took one more small glance over at the boat Hope was in. She was wiping her eyes in a hurried fashion, as if she cried and wants to stop doing it. I started to get sad, that only chance of me getting a friend is over. I now only have a 0.1% of getting a friend, which was Hope. I shook my head. She just doesn’t get it, I thought. Harry tapped onto my shoulder and I looked up. There above us was the castle.

“Woah” I said in a small voice.

Harry grinned.

I knew that you would say that” Harry grinned.

I smiled. Then, our smiles faded away as Hopes boat passed us. Harry looked at me sadly, and I did too.

I had to talk to Hope as soon as we got inside, whether she likes it or not! Hagrid instructed us to pair up so that we wouldn’t get lost while entering. Immediately, I looked around for Hope, but felt an arm go around mine. Harry's arm. He grinned, and I tried to smile. I wonder who Hope was paired up with.

“Now, first years, take your partners hand, and follow me!” Hagrids voice roared.

He was, like my Mom said, a giant. Harry reached out his hand, and I took it. I hope that Hope would not see us together, or else she’ll get even more mad. We walked into the castle. It was just so big. My mouth dropped.

“Woah” Harry whispered.

Right then, a woman came from down a staircase. I knew who it was. It was Professor McGonagall. She welcomed us, and told us the rules. While, she was speaking this boy came up to me and Harry.

“Aww, how are you two little lovebirds doing?” the boy giggled.

A bunch of kids crowded us. Harry looked at me. What’s that boys name??

“Leave Grace out of this, Draco...” Harry said to the boy, trying not to lose his patience.

Then, I saw someone out of the corner of my left eye. Oh-no... it was Hope.

I looked at her, and I could see tears coming down from her eyes. She stared at my hand. I looked down and realized that me and Harry were still holding hands. She immediately walked away. Professor McGonagall came up to Draco.
