"Good morning everybody. My name is Demetri Arch."

Two simple sentences consisting no more than 10 words, and that was all it took for half of the class to swoon over him.

Okay, fine. He was good looking. I'd give him that. With his golden brown hair and mesmerizing blue eyes, he was fit to be those star quarterbacks of the football team who's a major playboy. His voice held a bizarre accent to it, but I guess that was one of the many factors that made all the girls giggle.

"He's one fine guy, isn't he," Dana, one of my closer friends, mutter as she leaned between me and Lily, my best friend, from behind. "Damn. Look at those biceps."

He ran his fingers through his hair, untangling the knotty bed hair that somehow still managed to look sexy on him. I didn't like people like that. It was like they don't even try. And then look at me. I tried so hard, and yet I still looked like a giant mushroom. I'm not even kidding. That was what one of my P.E. teachers have told me.

"I hope you guys can welcome me here with open arms, and see me as one of your own." Demetri flashed a small, lopsided smile which almost sends all the girls knocked off their feet.

He didn't even bother to look embarrassed or flattered.

"Well," Ms. Kaitlyn said quickly when realizing she had been daydreaming while making googly eyes at him. "Um, welcome Demetri. Everyone please do treat Demetri nicely."

"Oh, I sure would like to treat him nicely," Dana whispered in a low voice as she stared at the guy.

"Uh, please take a seat beside Dana Archers over there." Ms. Kaitlyn muttered, her face flushing with red when she looked up at Demetri's towering stance. At the sound of her name, Dana adjusted her top and smiled, raising her hand up.

Demetri looked over at her and returned the flirty smiles. Ah. Won't you listen to that? The sound of a million girls' heart breaking, that's what it was.

Dana Archers is the daughter of a very successful entrepreneur, and she was infamous for her playgirl ways and troublemaker persona. She was gorgeous, with brown hair that flowed down like a gentle river down her shoulder and neck, and ending above her waist. Her beautiful emerald green eyes were to die for and her persuasive whispers could to wonders to a boy.

But it wasn't just that, there was something extra about her that made other girls envy and fear her. There was an unwritten but obvious rule: if you took anything that Dana Archers claimed as hers, she would be after your head.

And, apparently, Demetri Arch, the boy who stole everyone's hearts, was one of those things.

Demetri shuffled over and sat down beside Dana, who tossed her hair to one side before smiling sexily at Demetri.

"Nice to meet you," She purred as she placed a hand on his bicep. He didn't look like he minded. "My name is Dana, and I'd love it if we could be friends." The look in her eyes insinuated she wanted more—way more—than friends.

"Demetri Arch. Pleasure to meet you." He picked up Dana's hand and kissed the back of it. Okay? "And of course I would love to get to know a beautiful girl like you."

I rolled my eyes and tried my best to focus on class instead. I pulled out my copy of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, ignoring the numerous flirty remarks done behind my back.

"What's wrong with me?" Lily chided at herself as she pressed her hands to her forehead, leaning against the sink. Her breathing was heavy and her shoulders sagged.
