Chapter 6

(Isaiah in MM)

{Recap of Chapter 5}

"Dr. Moore, this is Vanessa Morgan, family of Skylar Morgan." The clerk said.

The doctor looked at me with a sign of depression on his face. My heart started to get heavy.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Moore. And I assumed you're the one that called an ambulance?" I nodded.

"Well, Mrs. Morgan, Im terribly sorry but Mrs. Skylar Morgan........

Vanessa POV

My heart instantly tore. I thought of the worst things that could happen. She's too young to die. She has a good life on this earth. God please don't take her now. I signal R.J. over here, stop my thoughts, and listen to him as he finishes his sentence.

"Im sorry but Mrs. Skylar is in a coma. Apparently, we don't know when she could wake up" Dr. Moore says. "She overdosed from a pill called emphezene. One pill can cause alot of damage to your body causing it to shut down instantly. In some chances, it affects later on, maybe hours after it was taken. It makes your body tired in the first 3 or 4 hours then it goes away. But after another hour or so, it shuts down your whole body including your brain, which makes your heart slow down causing the blood not to flow correctly and you eventually go into cardiac arrest. Good that you called us in time or it would've been a possible risk at her not making it."

In shock, I hold my head down as R.J. held me. Why would she take a pill like that?... Was she trying to overdose herself? I don't even know what to say right now. I turn back to Dr. Moore.

"Can we go see her?" I asked.

"Yes, she's on the second floor in room 236." He said as he gave us a friendly smile.

"Thank you so much." And with that, he goes back to work and we get on the elevator.

We get off the elevator and walk down the long hallway. As we follow the room numbers, we see 236. I go in and see Sky.. just laying there.. almost lifeless. I start to cry as I held my hands on my face. Me and R.J. are the only ones she have right now. Her parents seem like they don't give 2 fucks about her. They won't even answer their damn phones.

"Sky, If you can hear me, I want you to know that I will be here everyday to check up on you. I wish you would wake up. I miss my big cousin. Its funny because even when you're sick, you're still beautiful. Remember, we will always be here for you. I love you." I tear up as I walk out of the room into the hallway, leaving R.J. in the room.

I get out my phone and call Travis.

**Phone Convo**

Travis- Yo

- hey baby

Travis- oh hey bae, wassup

- sitting in the hospital

Travis- what happened?? You ight??

- yeah Im fine but Sky isn't

Travis- what happened to her

- she overdosed on a pill called emphezene or something like that and she's in a coma. I start to tear up.

Travis- baby don't cry. She'll be okay.

- she's in a coma from a fucking pill that I've never heard of before in my life!

Travis- E.Z... well emphezene is used in meth, you can only get a pill like that from blackmarket dealers because its dangerous as fuck. Where the hell would she get a pill like that from?

- I don't know no dealers around here except her stepbrother Kris who works for a drug lord named T-Ray...

Travis-............

- Hellooo?

Travis- oh yea probably. I'll be down there in about 10 minutes.

-okay see you when you get here

**End of Convo**

Something didn't seem right with Kris to me. I gotta do some research about him.

*13 minutes later*

Travis walks in with Isaiah and we talk for a minute about what happened and how I feel about Kris.

"What room is she in?" Isaiah asked anxiously.

"Room 236 on the second floor." He nodded and fast walked to the elevator.

"Its just something about him that Im not feeling." I explained to Travis.

"Yea, I've known him for a little bit. He sneaky." Travis said.

"Oh how do you know him?" I asked.

"Okay, Vanessa look, I gotta tell you something." He said looking worried. I hope its nothing serious because I have enough on my plate.

Travis POV

"Aye Isaiah, wanna ride to the hospital with me to see Nessa?"

"Yeah, let me go put on my shoes right quick." He said running up the stairs.

We both left out of the house and I drove to the hospital. I think about what Nessa been telling me about Kris. Kris works for me during the local routes. He sneaky asf, but he's a fast worker, thats why I keep some of my workers following him. We show up at the hospital.

"Whats wrong with Vanessa?" He says unlocking his side of the door.

"Vanessa up here with Sky. Sky overdosed on E.Z. and is in a coma." I say as he looks at me with shock.

Isaiah sat there for a minute and then got out. We walk into the doors and meet Vanessa sitting in the lobby. Isaiah asked her what room was Sky in and he got into the elevator. She goes on about Kris again and thats when I realize, I have to tell her about my real life.

"I gotta tell you something." I say looking down.

"...what is it?" I hear the worry in her voice.

I hesitate a little. Then I start talking.

"I know who Kris works for."

"Who? Tell me so I can get to the bottom of what happened to my cousin." She says looking concerned.

"Me, Nessa. I'm T-Ray."

Sorry for the long wait for the update. :( I was very busy with family stuff .. etc.
