:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::The next morning I wake up to the light practically burning my eyes open.
"Damn you sunlight." I mumble as I wipe my eyes awake.
I heard a slight chuckle from somewhere beside me and turn to look who it was.
"Are you a vampire or something? You look like you've never seen sunlight!"
Carl. Carl damn grimes stood laughing at me as I groggily got up. I glared at him and said,"Don't laugh at me you'll regret it hotshot."
He smiled and said,"You don't scare me Cheristy."
I smirked and said,"Don't give me a reason too scare you."
I got up form the seat and headed downstairs. The gas stove was on and Carol was either making tea or some soup of some kind.
"Good Morning." I greeted as I reached the last step.
Multiple people mumbled I slight hello as my eyes darted to a comic book in the table.
I walked over too it and picked it up. I whispered the title to myself,"Suicide Squad."
I laughed a bit at the name, to be truthful it basically sounded like our group. We were living for ultimate death, making it suicide and I guess you could consider us a squad.
"I'm guessing your laughing at the irony of the book?"Michone asked, sitting down at the table.
"I'm not the only one huh?"
She smiled a laughed a light, airy, laugh.
I looked out of the grimy window and saw my dad struggling with his crossbow. I cringed a bit as o walked out. To him.
"Having trouble?"
He looked to me and shrugged a bit, we were both stubborn as mules but in that situation it wouldn't. I sighed and walked over to the side of him. I automatically knew the problem, he had no hand to pull the string back. I paused for a moment then ran back inside, I grabbed a hanger, tape and some cloth.
I ran back out and forced him to let me work my "marvelous" idea to help.
I first wrapped cloth around his "hand" then put the hook part of the hand at the top, bending the rest of it around his wrist. I finished by securing the hanger with the tape.He smiled and used it for piling back the crossbow's string.
"Great thinking Cher bear." He said, shooting a nearby walker. I nodded and headed back inside.
Everyone was up already and joined into little conversations. Carl stopped talking to machine and came by my side as I walked in it a little sunroom.
"Hey Cheristy."
"Hello grimes."
"So we haven't had a proper conversation since we were ten haven't we?"
I smirked and let out a small,"ha."
"Grimes, I hope we both now that times are a lot different from when we were nine. But for the sake of you to stop flirting with me. Fine let's have a conversation." I said rotating on my heal so that i could face him.
He blushed a bit, rubbings hand on the back of his head. Boy was the guy head over boots for me! I mean I really am not that pretty!
*~*Carl's POV*~*
Cheristy May Dixon, was quite possibly the most beautiful girl on the planet. At least he was in my eyes. Her fiery (almost) orange eyes seemed to taunt me like fire whenever I tried to flirt with her. Although her caramel hair was messily done in a braid it looked like she came right out of the sound of music. Not only was she beautiful she had a kind heart, although she tended to conceal every bit of kindness she had with her brutal honesty and harsh humor. But through all of her dating feats and horrible encounters you could just look her in the eyes and tell she cares. So whether you like to believe or not, I was falling madly in love with my childhood crush, Cheristy May Dixon.
