Yuu POV:
'Oh come on, another dream?' I think while looking around the dream world. "For painting my roses red, someone will lose his head!" I hear the Queen of Hearts yell. "Your Majesty, if anyone's to blame, it's him!" the three of clubs says. "Have mercy, your Grace. It was the Ace!" the two of clubs says while pointing to the Ace. "So it was YOU!" the Queen of Hearts screams. 'My word, she needs anger management therapy.' I think. "Gah, no, it was the Two!" the Ace of clubs says in fear. "Then he will pay." the Queen of Hearts says threateningly. "I was three, I say!" the two of clubs says in fear. "Enough of this. Off with ALL their heads!" the Queen of Hearts demands. I sigh and rub my face while hearing the other cards chanting and cheering and the Queen laughing. "A fitting end. Color, you can't mend." the two of diamonds says. "Everyone knows the roses should be red." the three of spades states.
***Ramshakle Dorm - Yuu and Grim's Room***
C.C. POV:
"My word....there just roses....Why doesn't anyone put the Queen in her place?.." I hear Bubba mumble in his sleep. He must be having another weird dream. "Yuu, wake up! The unbirthday party is today. If we're late, well, you know..." I hear Deuce call from the lounge, waking Bubba up. "What in the world?.....Right......the party...." Bubba mumbles while drowsily getting up and getting dressed.
***Ramshakle Dorm - Lounge***
"Hmm? It sounds like you have a visitor." Deuce says while Bubba groggily moves around and tries to wake up. "Good mooorning! Did you all enjoy your sleepover? Did you bond over pillow fights and card games?" Cater asks eagerly after bursting into the dorm. "Oh, good morning, Cater. We did play some cards, yeah. But only Old Maid, 'cause that was the only one Grim knew how to play." Ace replies. "And I still got the old maid every time, dang it!" Grim grumbles. "Let's just say Grim doesn't have a very good poker face." Deuce comments. "Well, you should get one of the tarts we made yesterday and go apologize to Riddle. And you should probably hurry, because after the trouble yesterday, we're a little short-handed." Cater states.
"What does that mean?" Ace asks. "Don't worry. I've totes got it under control. Anyway, off to the party we go!" Cater exclaims. The group heads out and I stay behind a bit. "Are you coming Mikey?" I ask to the looming man in the corner. "Yeah...Sure..." Mikey replies. On my way out I spot a little box with my name on it. Out of curiosty I walk over and open it, revealing a brightly colored red and white outfit. I look around and decide to take the outfit with me and me and Mikey leave to catch up with the group.
***Heartslabyul Dorm***
"All right, so I'll hand over the tart and say I'm sorry, then-" Ace starts. "Hey, it's about time I got back! Good to see me!" Cater says as he walks up to himself. "And me! Looking good as always, me!" Cater exclaims, earning a sound of surprise from everyone. "Th-there're two Caters?!" Deuce exclaims in shock and confusion. "Are you guys identical twins?!" Ace asks. "Nope. Don't have any siblings. What I DO have is my signature spell, Split Card. It lets me make magic duplicates of myself." one of the Caters says. "This must be how Cater kept coming after we beat him over and over again yesterday..." Deuce mutters. "Welcome home, daaarlings." a third Cater says. "Good to see you, Yuu and C.C.!" a fourth Cater says.
"You're late! I was worried sick!" the second Cater says. "Bwah! There're more of them?" Ace asks in surprise. "J-S-Y-K, I'm actually the real Cater. Making these duplicates is suuuper exhausting, so I can't maintain them for long. Anyway, if we're late, heads will roll. And since we're several people short, we'll need your help. But when this is over, I promise I'll take you straight to Riddle." the second, real, Cater says. "What, MORE roses?" Grim whines. "And here we go again!" Ace groans. "Get the lead out, peeps! We need to get started!" Cater exclaims as we start to pain more roses.
