Ariel's pov
I stand near the exit, watching as Hannah sneaks up behind the barrel that Ash is hiding behind and points her gun at his chest peice. He slowly stands up with his hands up in surrender, but to my suprise, knocks her gun out of her hand sending it flying across the floor.
"That's not fair!" I hear her yell. The boy chuckles.
"Oh shit. He's not going to shoot her. You guys are going to win." Mikey says from behind me. He must have been watching also. I look from him back to the scene in front of me. Ash drops his arm down and places it in Hannah's hand.
"I'm gonna let you win. You're right, that really wasn't fair. I'm sorry. But I'm only doing this because you're cute." I hear Mikey grunt from behind me. He was suprisingly right! Hannah looks my way. I give her the hand gesture to shoot him, but she doesn't.
"Well I can't now! You made me feel bad!" She tries to shove the gun back into his hands, but he grabs ahold of hers over top of the gun and pushes her finger on the trigger. His chest peice stops glowing, indicating that he's dead. Seconds later, the buzzer sounds and we all pile out of the room.
Once Hannah comes out and throws her equipment on the shelf, she walks to me and I lead her back out into the arcade's main room. Her face is even more crimson than it was earlier. Probably because Ash called her cute. I decide to move on from the incident and get our minds on something even more important than life.
"Pizza?" I ask her. She smiles at that and shakes her head in agreement, so we head to the food counter and take our place in the never ending line of customers.
"God! This is going to take forever! Why does the world hate us?!" My best friend whines from beside me. I chuckle to myself because she's so impacient. I just shrug my shoulders in response.
"If you can take the wait, pizza is on us." We jump from the sound of the deep Aussie voice coming from behind us. I turn and see the two boys from the game behind us. They seem to be pleased with our reactions and giggle to each other.
"You scared the living hell out of me!" I say grasping my chest for a dramatic effect. "What are you doing? Stalking us?" I add in a laugh so they don't get offended my what I say. The one who had spoke, Ash, reaches out his hand, and I notice there is something in it.
"No, I just figured you might have wanted this." It's Hannah's phone. She grabs it from him and thanks him politely. I feel bad now. "But yeah, pizza's on us, as long as you allow me to buy it. Michael and I want to thank you for a challenging game. Not many people play like that here. It was fun."
"Uhh, sure! That'd be great actually. Thanks. So you're Ashton and Michael, right?" I speak for the both of us. They are very polite for offering. Ashton nods, answer my question.
"And what might you fine ladies be called?" Mikey asks this time. I feel heat rising to my cheeks. Hannah giggles beside me, then holds her hand out to him.
"I'm Hannah." She moves to Ashton and shakes his hand too. His fingers linger on hers when she goes to pull away, and he flashes a smile at her, making her blush again. I decide to intervene.
"Ariel." I shake both of their hands also. After were all introduced, we continue to make small talk about Flippy's and why we love to come.
We get to the front of the line about five minutes later considering how packed it is.
"Is pepperoni alright?" Everyone nods in agreement to Ashton, so he turns back to the cashier and orders a large pie and four cokes. Once he pays and is handed the buzzer, he leads us to a booth and slides in one side, michael trailing behind him. I awkwardly slide into the booth across from ashton, with Hannah beside me across from michael.
