The air in the lecture hall was still thick with the unspoken tension from the last encounter between Kiara and Agastya. Every glance, every brush of skin had left behind a current that neither of them was willing to acknowledge aloud.

Kiara tapped her pen against the desk, staring at the front of the room where a senior faculty member was preparing to make an announcement. Agastya stood beside him, looking as composed as ever, though she could still feel the weight of his gaze on her, even when he wasn't looking.

"This is a reminder for all students," the senior professor began, adjusting his glasses. "As you all know, the academic trip to Sunset Pearl Resort has been finalized. It will be a two day stay, focusing on both learning and leisure."

A ripple of excitement went through the class. Whispered conversations broke out immediately.

"A resort trip? That sounds fun!"

"Wait, did he say two days? That means we're staying overnight."

Kiara barely reacted. Her mind was still tangled in the mess that was Agastya. The way he had touched her, the words he had whispered, the heat that still lingered on her skin.

"Attendance is mandatory, and this will contribute to your project evaluations."

"Evaluations?" someone groaned. "I thought this was supposed to be a break."

The professor gave a dry smile. "You'll still have to work."

Beside him, Agastya finally spoke, his voice calm yet firm. "This trip isn't just for relaxation. There will be case studies, team assignments, and research activities. Anyone failing to participate will face consequences." His gaze briefly flickered toward Kiara.

She held his stare, refusing to be the first to look away.

The professor continued with the formalities, but Kiara barely heard any of it. Her mind was already racing. Two days in a resort with him.

Kiara sighed, already sensing that this trip was going to be anything but ordinary.

The sun was just beginning to set when the students arrived at Sunset Pearl Resort, a luxurious retreat nestled between hills and a private lake. The sky was painted in hues of orange and pink, casting a golden glow over the sprawling property.

Kiara stepped out of the bus, stretching her arms. A cool breeze ruffled her hair, and for a brief moment, she allowed herself to soak in the beauty of the place. But her peace didn't last long.

Aarohi nudged her shoulder, whispering excitedly, "Tell me why Agastya looks so illegal in casual clothes?"

Kiara blinked, following Aarohi's gaze.
