Kiara sat on the couch, still trying to steady her breathing as Agastya answered the call. His voice was calm, composed like the same man who had just lost control with her moments ago didn't even exist.

"Yes, sir," he said, his tone professional, his fingers tightening around the phone. "I'll be there soon."

She watched as he ran a hand through his disheveled hair, his expression unreadable. But she knew him well enough to notice the tension in his jaw, the slight stiffness in his shoulders.

"The Dean?" she asked, wrapping her arms around herself.

Agastya nodded, shoving his phone into his pocket. "He wants to see me in his office."

Something in the way he said it made her stomach twist. "Do you think he knows?"

His eyes snapped to hers, dark and sharp. "No. But that doesn't mean we can be careless, Kiara."

The way he said her name sent a shiver down her spine.

Just moments ago, that voice had whispered against her skin, had murmured things that made her forget the world outside this office. But now, it carried a warning. A reminder.

This was dangerous.

And yet, she couldn't bring herself to regret a single second of it.

"You should go," she murmured, standing up and grabbing her shirt from the floor.

Agastya watched as she slid it back on, his gaze lingering. He looked like he wanted to say something, but instead, he turned away, adjusting his own clothes.

It was almost laughable.

One second, they were tangled up in each other like nothing else mattered. The next, they were back to pretending.

Back to reality.

Back to being professor and student.

Kiara let out a quiet breath. "I'll leave first. It'll look suspicious if we walk out together."

Agastya hesitated before nodding. "Be careful."

She smirked. "I should be saying that to you."

His lips twitched, but the seriousness in his gaze never wavered. "Kiara..." He stepped closer, his fingers brushing against hers for the briefest second before he pulled away. "We'll talk later."

Something about the way he said it sent her heart into overdrive.

She wanted to ask about what? but she knew better.

Not here. Not now.

So instead, she nodded and slipped out of his office, her mind still spinning from everything that had just happened.

Hours Later :

Kiara tossed her bag onto the couch and flopped down beside it, exhaling loudly.

She had barely paid attention in class after leaving Agastya's office. How could she?

Her mind was still stuck in that moment his touch, his voice, the way he looked at her like she was the only thing that existed.

Her phone vibrated, snapping her out of her thoughts.

Agastya: Are you home?

Her heart skipped a beat. She hesitated before replying.

Kiara: Yeah. Why?

There was a pause before three little dots appeared.

Agastya: I'm outside.

Her breath caught.

Without thinking, she jumped up and rushed to the door, barely giving herself a second to process why he was here.

As soon as she opened it, there he was standing in the dim hallway, looking just as conflicted as he had earlier.

"Agastya...."

Before she could say another word, he stepped inside, shutting the door behind him.

She barely had time to react before his hands were on her waist, pulling her close, his lips crashing onto hers.

This wasn't like before.

This kiss was desperate.

Like he had spent the last few hours trying to fight this, trying to fight her and failing.

Kiara gasped against his mouth, her hands flying up to grip his shirt as he backed her against the wall, pressing their bodies together.

"We shouldn't be doing this," he muttered against her lips, but his hands were already sliding under her shirt, already undoing the very words he spoke.

Kiara smirked, tilting her head to the side as his lips traced along her jaw. "Then tell me to stop."

He groaned, his fingers gripping her tighter. "You know I won't."

And that was all she needed to hear.

This wasn't just a mistake anymore.

It was an addiction.

And neither of them knew how to stop.
