Ally's POV:

Finally, came the kind of peaceful moment that seemed to stretch on forever, with the soft murmur of the city beyond the walls.

I was back home, sat on the couch, my hand resting gently on my belly. Still overwhelmed with the shock of everything.

But today was different. Today was the moment we had all been waiting for.

Joe was standing by the window, his arms crossed, watching the girls play in the backyard through the glass.

Willa and Delphine were chasing each other around, their laughter ringing through the air. I smiled softly, watching them.

They were so full of life, so full of love, and today, we were about to share something with them that would make their lives even fuller.

"They're going to be so excited," I said, breaking the silence,"I can already picture Willa's face."

Joe smiled, his eyes softening as he looked over at me.

"I think you're right. We've been talking about this for so long, and now it's real."

He ran a hand through his hair.

"You're sure you're ok to do this now? You've been through a lot this week."

I nodded, squeezing his hand.

"I'm fine. We're fine. It's time."

Willa's high-pitched giggle echoed through the hallway as she ran into the house, Delphine following more slowly, her little steps measured, but her wide eyes full of wonder.

The two of them had a way of lighting up the space, making everything feel warmer, more alive.

"Daddy!" Willa said, running straight into Joe's arms.

She clung to him for a moment, her small body warm against his.

"Hi mamma," she added, her voice as bright as ever.

She rushed over to me, pulling herself up onto the couch next to me, settling into my lap.

"Hey, sweetie," I said softly, brushing Willa's hair from her face as I kissed the top of her head.

Delphine stood by the door for a moment, her eyes wide, studying us with a soft smile on her face.

I immediately held out my arms, as Delphine toddled over to me, climbing into my lap next to Willa.

"Hi baby," I whispered, wrapping my arms around her gently.

Joe stood nearby, watching the scene unfold with an expression that could only be described as pure love.

The room felt full, not just with people, but with the kind of love that wrapped around everything it touched.

I glanced at Joe, giving him a slight nod to reassure him that this was the moment.

"Girls," he said, his voice soft but steady, "there's something really special we need to tell you."

Willa's eyes brightened. "What is it? What is it?"

"Well, you know how much we love each other, right?"

"Yeah!" Willa shouted excitedly, "I love you all so much!"

My heart swelled with emotion, and I reached out to take Willa's hand, holding it gently in mine.

"We love you too, sweetie. And guess what?"

"What?" Willa's face lit up even more, if that was possible.

"Well," I said softly, "we're going to have a new addition in our family. A baby."
