TW: mentions of miscarriage
sorry I said I was going to upload like yesterday or something and I complete forgot!! Kind of short one.

since everyone at the nursery had found out here and winter were expecting she knew that there were going to be some comments from parents. even though she didn't show it the comments did affect her.

so when a parent walked in the office and was talking about the WhatsApp group chat autumn knew what she was about to talk about.
"I believe some congratulations are in order?"

autumn gave a annoyed look, "for whom?" making the parent feeling more and more awkward.
"for you and winter!" the parent gave autumn a warm smile, to which autumn just narrowed her eyes.

"thank you." autumns stance remaining as per usual, her posture ridged with a straight back as she looked at the parent.

"so i'm assuming you must be quite far along this time." that line made autumn feel anger, sadness and bitter all at the same time.

"why do you assume that?" autumn said quietly getting more and more agitated.

winter placed a comforting hand on her thigh as autumn told him the conversation she had with the parent.

"honestly why does everyone always push this narrative that it's not okay to talk about grief, you always make sure i don't hide my feelings yet people say this to me?" autumn said as she rested her head on winters lap as winter stroked through her hair.

"my love, never and I mean never hide your feelings from me, I'll always listen. and if not me at least talk to someone." winter said as he spoke with such kindness and patience in his voice.

"hmm, thank you my sweet." autumn looked up at winters eyes, smiling as winter gently combed through her loose wave curls.

winter looked down at her smiling. her light blue snow-like eyes, the colour perfectly paring pairing with her rose coloured lips.
"your magnificent my love, winter said as his hand traveled down to her stomach, "with your as their mum our baby with be just a strong, precious and loving as you."

autumn chuckled, blushing slightly as she sat up to face winter.

"our baby will be just as... funny as you my sweet." She said as she went to the wardrobe, grabbing their pair of matching pair of black and grey checkered joggers as she grabbed a black lace vest top for her and a black T-shirt for winter.

as autumn handed it to winter, winter chuckled, "remember when marjorie and reece unexpectedly came over and saw me and you through the window together wearing these and took a picture for the nursery nurse group chat?" winter questioned as he let out a loud chuckle as autumn playfully slapped his arm.

"we're not going to talk about that, im sure that bruise on reece's shin and Marjorie's arm doesn't want to neither." she said with a smell as they both chuckled as she rested her head on winters chest, while one of her arms intertwined with his
as winter loosely rested his hand on autumns stomach.

"well we will have to remember to close the curtains next time."

the next morning, was officially declared 10 weeks of autumns pregnancy.
10 weeks.

last time she was 10 weeks she ended up having to spend that week grieving over her loss, drinking and lying in bed. this time it would be different.

they had both called off work that day, as the both didn't want to go in, although they never said why they both knew.
"winter what if it happens again?" she mumbled as she buried her head in his chest, not able to look at him. "then we will get through it together like we always have and will do, and I will love you no matter what." winter said as he kissed her forehead

"it was all my fault."
five words that broke winters heart as he felt the dampness on his shirt.

"my love, listen to me it was not your fault. you didn't do anything. never believe that it was your fault"

autumn slowly relaxed as she calmed down, "i just want this pregnancy to go well."

"me to my love, me to."

our love is infinite. (an wintumn story.)Where stories live. Discover now
