12 weeks

i'm back!! sorry i have been gone for so long. i have this is kind of short and i hope to get some
more chapters out shortly. thank you for being patient with me.

As the days neared closer to the 12 weeks scan, her and winter could not be anymore nervous, all they wanted was to have a healthy baby.

So when booking autumns 12 weeks scan they decided to call the rest of the day off work, just incase anything happened.The car drive was tense with nerves. Not a comfortable one. They both knew they were thinking the same thing. the only noise in the car was the music.

autumn had been feeling more nauseous lately and had been having more back pain lately, so she wanted to ask if there was anything they could do about the sickness.

"Whatever happens today i'll always be here for you." winter said as he squeezed her hand, autumn returned his warm smile with a gentle smile as she looked down.

"i just want the baby to be healthy and safe, i just want our baby winter."

"as do i, my love."

as they walked into the maternity clinic, hand in hand, staring around as they saw other couples just like them, some with big smiles planted on their faces, and others waiting for their appointment.

autumn and winter walked towards the receptionist, who had a friendly smile as she asked for their information.
"wonderful, an doctor will be with you shortly."

not long after, they were already in the room, winter was sat in the chair next to autumn who was lying on the bed as they watched the doctor move around grabbing equipment.

"this gel is going to be quite cold." the midwife said as she have her a smile. autumn hissed slightly as the icy gel touched her stomach.

as the monitor flicked and they both saw their babies head and body, winter and autumn couldn't help but feel teary eyed as they saw their baby.

winter rubbed the back of autumns hand with his thumb, she looked over to him, not having to say a word he knew what she was saying.
"is it possible if we hear the heartbeat today?" winter asked as the midwife gave a warm smile.

"yes that's fine, let me just turn the machine on."

as soon as the machine turned on, a loud and clear heartbeat sound made its way through the room, as winter and autumn heard the heartbeat they both couldn't help but let out a loud relieved sigh as winter threw his arms around autumn.

"your baby's heartbeat sounds healthy, everything should be good and we shouldn't need any additional scans till your twenty week scan."

"would you like a sonogram of your baby today?" the midwife asked as autumn and winter nodded, thanking her as they got ready to go home.

as reece and marjorie sat at home, watching Netflix together, marjorie gave reece a nudge.
"darling why aren't you watching with me?" marjorie said dramatically as she gave him a fake pout.

"darling why are your eyes watering?" marjorie said as she turned to look at reece's phone as a gasp came out of marjorie's mouth.

"it's aut and winters first sonogram!" reece exclaimed as he rested his head on marjorie shoulder so they could both stare at the picture.

"i wonder if the baby will have winters curls."

mia and char were on the car, on their way home after their shifts as mia had to cover for aut.
"oh my gosh." mia said calmly as she stared at her phone, tears fighting not to fall as she showed char what she was staring at.

"Awwwwwwww" charlotte said as she dragged the word on as mia smiled at the photo.

"my love what do you fancy for dinner tonight?" winter said as he looked into the fridge creating recipes in his head by looking at the ingredients.

"something with potatoes?"
"steak and mash?"

as winter cooked, flipping the steaks while mashing the potatoes, autumn stood behind him, a hand resting on her stomach as she watched winter cook wearing their matching aprons, with a picture of each other on it.

as autumn saw winter checking her steak over and over again to make sure that the steak was well done since she was pregnant, autumn gave him a small chuckle.

"my sweet it is definitely cooked."

as winter put their plates on, they both tucked in.
"my love?" winter said as he looked over.
"have you got any ideas for the babies nursery?" winter said as he watched autumn think.

"hmm, well i done mind having a colourful nursery, i want the room to be full of different colours but in terms of the actual nursery we can work on that together." she said giving him a small smile.

"that sounds good to me."
