___________________________

Waking up in the middle of the night hadn't been an uncommon thing for Autumn. She had pretty bad sleep problems, and painful periods that would wake her up at night.

In Autumns first pregnancy, she would have morning sickness quite often. And up until her second trimester, her second pregnancy seemed as if her morning sickness had significantly reduced.

Once she passed her second trimester, her morning sickness had significantly doubled over the last few weeks. Her sickness never usually happened during midday, meaning she didn't have to always rush off to the bathroom at the nursery. Unfortunately her sickness always woke her up in the night, and in the mornings.

She had been prescribed medication to help with her morning sickness. Although the medication would help with her sickness in the day time, it never helped with when she would throw up at night.

Autumn would usually throw up her dinner after a while. Resulting in her loosing weight, Even though it wasn't as obvious to everyone else considering her massive bump covered it up, people could tell her face had slimmed slightly.

Since Autumns bump was quite huge, considering she was carrying twins after all, it resulted in an almost constant back ache, her back had to carry so much weight.

She would also get headaches from staring at the screen in her office all day and her lack of sleep.
It was killing winter to see her struggling so much, even though she pulled a brave face, winter knew her better than she knew herself. No brave face could fool him.

When Autumn walked into the office, she was greeted by Reece, and Marjorie.

"Big brother, Marjorie" she said grinning slightly as she sat down, rubbing her temples, sighing as she shut her eyes for a second.

"Woah woah Aut you look rough, did you not sleep last night?" he questioned as she looked over.

"I tried but i got woken up at least 3 times to throw up, can you pass my medicine in my bag?" She sighed as she took the medicine and a water bottle.

While in a conversation with Reece about all these new policies that their father had set, Autumn's stomach churned as she covered her mouth.
Reece immediately grabbed his bin next to his desk, handing it to her as she retched inside the bin.
He walked behind her, holding her hair back, watching as she continued to throw up.

Autumn mumbled a thank you as she went to change the bin bag. She came back to Reece who was going through some forms with Marjorie.
"Aut i think you should go see someone about this." He says as Autumn chuckles slightly.

"I have, they just give me some medicine but it never really works anyways. I have another appointment later today anyway." She says slightly as she clutches her stomach, feeling nauseous again.

After a long day of answering emails, dealing with parents who complained over anything and everything Autumn was already exhausted. She felt a hand on her shoulder as Reece began to speak.

"Aut why don't you have your lunch break, I can handle your remaining admin." Autumn nodded as she took out her lunchbox that winter had packed for her this morning; Simple cherry tomato pasta with a pot of cherries had been Autumns favourite pregnancy craving recently.

As she went to pick up the fork she noticed a little piece of paper tucked under the fork and knife.

She chuckled to herself, Winter would always leave little notes or even sometimes funny facts he had found out just because he knew it made her smile.

The paper was covered in small red hearts, she read the note "Don't be so hard on yourself my love, please take breaks when you're tired." the note said in a black pen.

A huge grin plastered on her face as she put the note back in.

"Looks like winters made you smile again" Reece said as Marjorie chuckled to her self, watching as autumn rolled her eyes playfully .

By the time Autumns shift finished she was absolutely exhausted.

Reece had called Winter so Autumn could go home early that day, everyone could tell Autumn was definitely struggling a bit more than usual today.

Winter came in to collect Autumn from her shift today, The moment he saw her, he immediately went over, helping to grab her stuff as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Come on my love, let's go home now."

They had a little chat in the car, talking about random unserious stuff with Winter sharing funny jokes he thought of throughout the day. Even though Autumn felt extremely worn out from the day, he still knew how to make her laugh.

Once they got home she went upstairs to get changed as Winter began feeding Caddie.
As he put his bowl of cat food down he heard a loud thump upstairs. He shrugged as he shouted her name as he went up the stairs.

"Autumn, my love are you okay?" After not getting a response he started to get worried.
When he got to the bedroom, he gasped as he saw Autumn flopped against the floor, one of her hands on her bump.

"Oh god my love!" He cried as he went over, picking her up and gently lying her down, stroking her hair trying to get her to wake up.

After what felt like forever, her eyes fluttered open as she looked up to see Winters tear stained face as he smiled at her.

"My sweet? what happened?" she mumbled slightly as she felt around for her baby kicking.
"You fainted my love, I think we should get you checked out." He mumbled as she agreed.

The drive to the hospital was quiet, both of them thinking about the possibility of something seriously wrong with Autumn or the baby.

Winter made sure Autumn was comfortable, before going to check her in and explaining the situation. The receptionist smiled as she told him a doctor would be coming shortly.

"Mr and Mrs Fortune-Knight?" Annie, their midwife called out as she walked over to Autumn and Winter, holding folders as she gestured them to follow her.

She shared a smile as she listened to Autumn share her symptoms, When she walked out to get the results, the silence in the room was unbearable. Autumn and Winter shared a knowing glance at each other. Both of them knowing what they were both thinking.

"I have the results back. You haven't gone anything too serious, but since you have twins that does mean higher hormones, Meaning more morning sickness, however you do seem to be more sick than usual twin pregnancies, so i will be prescribing medication" Annie says as she gives the medicine to Winter.

"You only need to take once a day, in the morning. However i suggest that you take it before you go to bed to help manage less throwing up in the night." She smiles as Autumn and Winter get ready to walk out.

Autumn and Winter walked back to their car, Winter looked over, smiling as he rested a hand on her back.
