SIX

Kian burst open his door and threw the bags of clothes he bought me onto Jc's bed, who apparently was MIA for the evening. Kian then began fumbling around in his closet for something.

"What are you doing?" I asked. 

He pulled out a gigantic blanket and threw it at me, which I just nearly saved from hitting the floor. 

"We're gonna do what you said you wanted, cuddle and watch Netflix." 

I smiled and he plopped on down to his bed. I followed him and he set up the pillows so we could rest our backs on them. Kian readjusted to a halfway laying down, halfway sitting position and patted twice with his hand on the spot next to him for me to join in. I did, and he instantly scooted closer and pulled my head down to rest on his shoulder. 

I was very content at that moment. 

He then took the blanket and wrapped it around his own shoulder and then mine. He reached under his bed and set his laptop on his lap and tilted the screen so I could get a better view.

"What do you wanna watch?" he asked, typing in his netflix username and password.

I shrugged. "I don't know, anything really." 

He laughed. "You've gotta have some sort of preference here, Sammy. Do you like romantic comedies, horror movies, action movies, what?" 

I shrugged again. He tilted his head. "You're gonna really regret it if you let me pick." 

I rolled my eyes. "And why might that be?" 

"I like horror movies," he stated bluntly.

"You're gonna have to hold me, then." I suggested.

He smiled. "Of course, baby." 

He clicked on one called Dream House and pressed play. I nuzzled up closer and I could hear his heartbeat quickening. I slipped my hand into his. 

A gunshot rang through our shared headphones and Kian jumped slightly, tightening his grip. I found this adorable. 

Fear was in his eyes and I kissed him on the cheek. He held onto the same hand he was holding onto with the other hand placed on top of it. His grip was tight but I didn't care. I smiled, watching him watch the screen carefully. 

He jumped again, this time screaming and covering his eyes and hiding in my chest. I could feel my heartbeat grow faster, and it wasn't just because of the horror movie. 

"Kian we don't have to watch if you're too scared." 

He scoffed, still lying his head on my chest. "I'm not scared." 

I laughed. "Yes you are. It's adorable." 

He looked up at me with his beautiful brown eyes and long eyelashes brushing against my neck. 

"You're adorable," he said. I smiled but then a scream curdled into both our ears. 

"SHIT!" Kian screamed, latching both his arms around me tightly.

"Looks like you're the one who needs holding," I said, playing with his hair.

He rolled his eyes. "Shut up." 

I raised my eyebrows and tilted his head to face me. 

"What?" he asked.

"You're just pretty is all," I mimicked. 

He leaned closer and I could feel his lips drawing closer and closer to mine. I didn't know what to do and panicked I bit my lip and he placed a hand on my jaw. I let my bottom lip fall and instantly it became attached with his, and we moved in sync with each other, in and out like the ocean's waves. Euphoria rushed over me like a tidal wave and he pulled away.

He kept his eyes closed for a second and then opened them wide. "Wow," he remarked. I blushed. 

And then Jc walked in with a girl around his arm. 

"OH, SORRY KIAN.. UM.. AND SAM." He turned around and left and Kian started cracking up and so did I. 

"I take it Jc doesn't know you like boys," I suggested. 

Kian laughed. "Well, he does. I used to date Jc." 

"Oh," I said. 

He grabbed onto my arm. "Don't feel threatened. He dumped me. And he's straight anyway, or so he claims. That's not what I assumed when we- you know what let's stop talking about this."

"Why would he dump you?" 

He put an arm around my waist. I felt insecure seeing as he was so close to the places I had cut myself before.

"He claims that he's as straight as a board and our day in the sun was a total mistake."

I sighed. "Well then he's an idiot." 

He nodded. "Agreed."
