Joe stumbled back, his head hitting the ground hard. He winces in pain, his hands pushing Caspar off.

"How fucking dare you!" Caspar yells, his hand colliding against Joe's jaw once more. He feels arms wrap around his torso, ripping him off of Joe. He shakes out of Oli's grip, claiming he's fine now.

Joe's jaw turning a shade of purple, a bruise starting to form.

"Don't you fucking dare to tell me it was a mistake." Caspar shouts. Joe stays on the ground, scared to get up and get punched once more.

"I-I'm sorry, mate. I just, I was being stupid. I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't come between you guys." Tears brimmed on Joe's eyes causing Caspar to pout.

"When did this happen?" Caspar asks.

"Like two months ago?"

"Do you still love her?"

Joe hesitated, "Honestly, I don't know. I think I just got jealous because I've grown up with her. I've been through every shitty relationship she's been in. I've seen her heart break millions of times and I'm too scared you'll do that to her. I wouldn't do that to her. I think that's why I'm like this. That's why my feelings have grown so big for her over the years because I've always been there for her. I'm her bestfriend."

Mid way, Caspar realized Joe wasn't in love with her. He was in love with the fact that she always comes to him in the time of need. In love with the fact that he's always there for her. He hates the fact that she is broken over boys and doesn't want it to see it happen between his two bestfriends. He just wants to make sure she won't be broken again and that only way is if she's with Joe.

"Joe, I love Emma. A lot. I won't break her. I won't hurt her. I thought you could actually trust me in this."

"I do. I just wanted to make sure." Caspar looked down at Joe, guilt in his eyes. He motions his hand to help Joe up.

"That's a g'narly bruise. Go to a bar and be tough." Caspar gives off a small shaky smile.

Joe stares at him in confusing. How could he be beating him up one minute and being his friend again the next?

"I'm sure that bruise will be gone by the time Emma comes back." He informs Joe, giving him a small wink and walking away.

Although Caspar was slightly right, the bruise was still there. Faintly turning yellow.

Joe and Caspar sat around the kitchen island talking about random things and having cheery times.

A small rustle of keys unlocking the door shut the boys up. They looked at each other in confusion. Joe gave Caspar an 'I don't know' face and Caspar tilted his head back, trying to catch the first glance of the person trying to enter. But as soon as the door slightly opens revealing the small figure of the brunette, Caspar lights up.

"Emma!" He yells, a surprised look on his face. He instantly gets up from the chair and runs to her. His arms wrapping around her giving her a feeling of warmth. "I thought you were coming at night."

She giggled, looking up at Caspar's blue eyes. "I just missed you a lot and I wanted to see you as soon as possible." She tippy toed, sending her a few inches up, kissing Caspar on the lips.

"Or, you guys just couldn't stay one more night or you'd bring back the whole spa." Joe snickered. Emma turned her head at him, not realizing he was there in the first place.

She rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Joe!" She smiled away, turning to Caspar but quickly turning her head back and squinting to see the purple-yellow color around Joe's cheek. Her grip on Caspar's torso immediately fell apart and she rushed to Joe. Her fingers touching his cheek sent shivers down Joe's back.
