Cecelia walked me to a gravel driveway where there were people working out in the yard. Three little kids, four somewhat teenagers, and one other guy who caught my eye. He had grey hair, one green eye and one blue eye, and was around 6 foot, and not much older than me. He glanced over at me and did one of those weird smiles guys do when they half smile. I don't know what he did, but it gave me chills up my spine.
"Everyone listen up!" Cecelia yelled. "This is Wren. She will be staying with us for a while, and since there isn't any rooms left someone will have to sleep in the basement for a while. Gray?" The grey haired boy looked over his shoulder and smiled.
"Sure thing Miss Cece," he said as if he were actually happy about it. I know I wouldn't want to be sleeping in any basement.
" Thank you, Grayson. Okay, everyone else. I need you all to go inside and wash up. Today is a big celebration!" She exclaimed happily. I didn't realize how caught up I was in Grayson's eyes until a little girl with chocolate brown eyes grabbed my hand and rushed me inside.
"Come on slow-poke we gotta get ready! There is no time to be wasting standing around daydreaming!" Exclaimed the little, strong girl. Boy, does this girl have a grip.
"Okay, that is enough Elizabeth. Run along and go get McKenzie to get dressed, while I get Wren ready," ordered Miss Cecelia.
"Yes ma'am," hushed Elizabeth as she scrammed to find McKenzie.
"Now isn't that better? You really shouldn't let children push you around, Wren." My face turned red in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry," I answered quietly.
"It's quite alright, dear, but we need to get fixed up for today's celebration."
"What are we even celebrating Miss Cecelia?"
"Please darling, call me Cece, and we're celebrating another day of living of course!" I looked at this crazy woman bewildered.
"Now hurry along and go get ready. There is an outfit ready for you in the third room to the right," Cece directed. I nodded in understanding. I quickly limped towards that room. I opened the door and there he was. Gray. Standing in the middle of the room holding a t-shirt in his hand.
