Awaiting outside for us was a limousine similar to the one the first night me and Alex 'encountered' each other except this time the thought seemed more special. He walks up to the limo door while I was still stood dumbfounded at the entrance to my apartment. He opens the door and motions me forward to climb in. I had to nearly nip myself to bring me back to reality and to check if everything that was happening was real. No one had ever done something like this to me. I'd only went out with this man for a day and I can already tell that this is the start of something special. I step up to the limo but stop by the door to look up into Alex's eyes to see him looking down at me with a smile spreading from ear to ear. He looks so pleased with himself with everything that he's done and it makes me wonder, what else has he got planned for the night? It makes me itch with anticipation. I reach up on my toes and gently kiss him on the lips, lingering and trying to put all of my gratitude and love into it. Eventually pulling away, I step into the car and when my eyes adjust to the lighting, I stand before: candles, a bottle of champagne, fairy lights lining the ceiling and the soft play of music coming from all angles of the vehicle. It was beautiful. The type of beautiful what brings on tears and makes you feel like you are worth something. That someone has went through all of this time and effort just to please you and show you how much you mean to them. I clamber to the back of the car and settle on the plush velvet sofa gaping at the scene around me. Finally, Alex comes and sits next to me, looking at my expression and trying to figure out what I think of his performance so far. I just lean into him and kiss his lips, smiling to myself and thinking of how lucky I am at this moment in my life. I cup my hand at the back of his head and move closer to him, trying to suffocate the space between us until there is none. I want to be as close to him as much as I can. I suddenly become aware of my body and how my dress is starting to ride up my legs, exposing my upper thigh and I want to pull it down to conceal myself again but I don't want to snap out of this moment. It's too intense. Regretfully, I pull away to see Alex's eyes opening, looking like he'd just woken up from a deep sleep and disorientated. I instantly feel bad for my decision and say, "We couldn't waste this luxury, after all of the trouble you've been through," whilst hastily pulling my dress back over my leg. "Oh, okay then, champagne?" he asks, blinking a few times to wipe the dazed look off his face. "Please," I say holding out a flute glass. "You didn't have to go through all of this trouble you know. I would have been happy with just a takeaway." "Oh come on. I couldn't do that, you deserve better than some Chinese takeaway." "Who said it would be Chinese?" I say with a raised eyebrow. For the rest of the journey we laughed, talked about shit and kissed. It was probably the best journey I've ever been on and unfortunately, it was the quickest. When we finally arrived at our destination, the champagne bottle was empty and my head was starting to get foggy so for the rest of the night I decided to take it lightly so that in the morning I would remember most of the night. Alex helped me out of the limousine by holding my hand and when I saw where we had arrived, my jaw had opened even more than what it was before. We stood before a five star restaurant which was so tall I had to crane my neck back to see the top. There was a canopy over the entrance and it was made of silk drapes carefully made so that light could be seen through them and they almost danced in the wind. There were lights in the floor and the sand was surrounding them which made the light less harsh to look at and hanging above our heads were delicate fairy lights, laced between the drapes making the whole scene even more magical. Still holding my hand, he led me up the steps to the doors where a man was waiting for us. He greeted us and escorted us inside whilst having a small conversation with Alex like they had met before on a number of occasions. "Eve, this is James. James this is Eve. James is the owner of this joint and the food here is amazing," Alex beams. "Oh come on Al, let her see that for herself," James laughs. Alex jokingly punches James on the arm and they both start to laugh which makes me think, how many times had Alex been here? And who with? We enter the restaurant and the smell is divine. I could practically taste the steak already and we hadn't even sat down yet. The furniture was all made of white leather and the tables had a silver cloth covering them. I felt a bit out of place looking over at all of the other guests sat at their tables. Each one of them looked like a million dollars or more! There was diamond rings reflecting the light from their owners' crystal white smile and almost blinding the person who they were sat across from. Michael Kors bags were hanging from the back of their chairs, Iphone 6's were just laid on the table and you could just see the strap to a Victoria's Secret bra peeking from underneath a silk dress. These people have no idea how lucky they are. I was stood in a normal dress from TopShop and that cost me a fortune. Not to mention the shoes what were slowly crippling me. It's a different world here.
